I know MLP FiM is getting a lot of attention in the fan base now, mostly because Season 7 seems to have its premiere just around the corner. So I want to address a few things, firstly the minimalistic announcement of the names for the Apple parents and Rainbow's parents. I'm going to be taking the name announcements with a massive bag of salt and until the names are used in the series proper I will not be referring to their names outside of those used by the fan base. Secondly, they didn't give any hints toward Rainbow's relationship with her parents, they could have teased at some quirks that one or both of her parents have. And given their names, and until it is proven otherwise, I am going to just operate on the theory that Rainbow is adopted. Actually, an episode of Rainbow having to come to terms with the fact the parents she grew up with were not her biological parents, and it would also tap into the real world issue that some people have go through regarding coming to terms with the fact they are/were adopted.
To be honest I'm not looking forward for this season or the movie. I stopped watching the show after season 2, because it started going downhill in my opinion. Celestia got dumber, along with the other characters, twilight became an alicorn, equestria girls, etc. dont want to sound like a hater or as if I'm ranting, love mlp, the fanfics, but the show has been getting worse by the seasons.
4465019 That's your opinion and that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion as much as any of us. But at the very least you should give some of the episode of the later season a peak, to gauge just how far things have fallen or begun to climb. A series can reach a point where it goes downhill, at least in the eyes of some of the fan base, but just as a series can go downhill it can also go uphill. So, by watching three or four episodes (preferably at random) from the newer seasons you can at least get up to date on some things and possibly even gauge whether or not the show is getting better again or just continuing to go in a downward spiral.
