Future April Fools Specials · 9:30pm Mar 12th, 2017
I decided this year to do something special, and that is to write a special April Fools chapter for every in-progress story that wasn't a complete joke on you the readers.
Well, considering I only published 5 chapters this past year, from 1 April 2016 to now, I don't think I'll be doing it again, especially since I started these in December and am only now finishing the last one. It took too long for just a joke, and it took time away from my standard writing. Especially considering from AFD 2015-2016, I was able to turn out 12 total chapters (averaging one a month), it just makes this past year look unproductive.
However, I also started a full-time job selling cell phones (and my soul) not long after AFD 2016, so that had an impact as well, especially since it left me to come home and just collapse from sheer mental exhaustion from having to deal with so many stupid people who just have to have the $970 iPhone but can't use it to save their lives, and not be able to write. I won't rule out that this is the biggest factor, and it probably is, but I stopped all standard writing three,. almost four months ago and I want to have more time to put those chapters out. I'm nearing the end of my planned Apprentice rewrite, I've started Act 3 of Worlds (AFTER FOUR FUCKING YEARS IN PROGRESS), Starbound is almost there too (AFTER FOUR FUCKING YEARS IN PROGRESS), and I'm buzzing with ideas for Forces of Darkness (AFTER ONE FUCKING YEAR IN PROGRESS), and (major announcement), I'm restarting The Legacy of Twilight, re-branded and retooled as Twilit Legacy (AFTER FOUR FUCKING YEARS CANCELLED), with the first chapter tentatively being posted on April 2nd (so that there's no confusion that it's an April Fools prank).
I'm going to link this in all three of the stories in the Author's Notes because this is going to be a poll in the comments for those who care. You can comment before, I don't personally care, but I'd suggest you wait and see these special chapters and decide for yourself first. Do you want me to do more of these special April Fools chapters (I'll only ever do one for one story from now on) in the future?
