I know it's a drop in the bucket compared to some of the more popular fics out there, but it's way more views than anything else I've ever written, so I'm celebrating anyway.
Anyway, so I can actually have some substance in this post, the upcoming Delicate Balance chapter is coming along well; it's already over 4K words, which is further than I thought I'd be at this point. I have some (hopefully) interesting developments planned. And while I'm at it, I'm just going to make a quick note of something ahead of time:
So far in the story, I've stuck rather closely to canon and drawn almost entirely off of what we've seen in the show. Regarding the story as a whole, I have no intention of changing hat. However, I feel compelled to point out that there is an element in the next chapter that does draw a bit more off the fandom. It's generally accepted by a good majority of the fans, but I know that some people aren't big on those fan-established elements, so I figured I ought to give fair warning and a bit of explanation. But even in this case, I'm attempting to integrate it into the setting as best I can, and it doesn't exactly dominate the story as a whole, so I doubt it'll raise too many eyebrows, especially given that it's so popular that a number of fans basically assume it to be the case.
But seriously, the chapter still focuses primarily on the canon cast and their characterization, so I probably haven't done anything but make you all paranoid. 
I'm probably making way too big of a deal out of this.

As far as the chapter goes, it just broke 5000 words, and I have approximately 2 scenes (one of which is really short) to write. The second one is the scene I've literally been waiting to do ever since I started this story, so if all goes well it'll be up soon.
