Fallout Equestria: Anomaly Update

Alright chapter 4 is finally out and I am pretty hyped about that since it is the equivalent of the tutorial being over. At this point people might have figured out when this is taking place and I’m going to start transitioning into things unique to my story, while still slipping in Fallout Equestria references (Keep your eyes peeled).

Anyhow I am making this as sort of an update to let people know where I’m at with this fic. I have seen plenty of interesting FoE fics start up but then never complete so I’m going to be transparent with the progress.

First and foremost I have been working on this fic for around a year and a half and the entire outline is complete, so I know the ending and major events leading up to it. Something I think people will be pleased about is that I have just recently finished chapter 21!

Now some people might wonder “Hey if you have 21 chapters done what is with the monthly release schedule?” To which I say, “Excellent question Strawman! You see I suck at editing and it is by far the slowest and most painful process. Also you would not believe the amount of changes I have done to events and characters that caused me to rewrite entire sections from earlier chapters.” I have a two people helping me with editing but it is still very painful for all those involved. My ultimate plan is to stay on the monthly release schedule until I am finished with the story and everything is edited, after that it will be a daily release.

Now based on where I’m at compared to the outline I would think this will be around ~52 chapter story. So if someone did the math they might think “Well F me this won't be finished for like 2 years!” But I would retort with a, “Well not exactly, you see a whole year was dedicated to character design, outline, and improving my writing through books and editing. I think I only finished ~8 chapters in the first year? (Don’t quote me).” With each chapter I have complete I feel like I get a bit better and a bit faster, of course there bad months, I get sick, hit a creative wall, or start overtime at my job.

All in all, yes this could take a long time to finish but I have been pretty Ardent in my efforts and at least there will be consistent updates. I figured with how hard it can be to place you trust in a FoE fic since so few finish the least I could do was give everyone this update.
