I Can Actually Tell Which Trainer's Were Used as a Base · 12:18am Feb 17th, 2017

You may recognize one of the images below as the cover art for Ponymon Girls 2, and I'd figured I'd mention that all of the trainers used in these images were based on actual Pokemon characters, with each of the main six inspired by a different playable female character, one for each region excluding Alola. Applejack is Leaf from FireRed/LeafGreen (Kanto), Twilight is Lyra from HeartGold/SoulSilver (Johto), Rainbow Dash is May's original design from Ruby/Sapphire (Hoenn), Rarity is Dawn's design from Platinum (Sinnoh), Pinkie Pie is Hilda from Black/White (Unova), Fluttershy is Serena from X/Y (Kalos), Sunset Shimmer is Silver, the rival of the Johto region games and the child of Giovanni (kind of odd, considering Silver is MALE), Trixie is Eusine, the extravagant researcher who chases Suicune in Crystal and HeartGold/Soulsilver (again, another oddity because Eusine is also male, just like Silver,) Celestia appears to be Cynthia, the champion of the Sinnoh region games who's made cameos in every installment since Diamond,Pearl, and Platinum, and Luna appears to be based on Diantha.

Twilight/Trixie/Sunset:

Princess Celestia/Princess Luna:
