So. I updated. Have an epic final battle. · 7:31pm Sep 25th, 2012
Yeah, I was playing Metal Gear last night on my MSX2 emulator, and decided "fuck it, I'll record the final battle." So, here you go. No voice, sadly, but still. Behold my 1337 skillz.
ERMEHGERD METAL GEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR.

It's not the NES version. The NES version was a shitty port from this one. This version is the REAL Metal Gear, on the MSX2, a 1980's personal computer. And I'm so good at it because I have too much free time.

Yeah, not the NES port. This was the version released about ten years before the NES version, in the 80's. The NES version came out around 1997.

Wait, 1997? Shit, I meant to say somewhere around 1991 or 92. Sorry, my mind is a bit mushy today. School. Bluh.
But yeah, I just Googled it. Metal Gear (MSX2) was released around 1985, whereas Metal Gear (NES) was released around 1991. The NES version is COMPLETELY different though, less vivid sound track, different setting, and a terrible translation. This one takes place on the coast/on an island, whereas the NES version is in the jungle.

One of the things the guards say if they fall asleep is "I ARE ASLEEP!!"
What do you think? But what really made me mad was that the entire GAME was different. Different world map, different layout, different final boss. They changed Metal Gear into a super computer.
383127 I thought the music was good though.
But yeah, the NES port was shitty.
By the way, It's "I fell asleep".

No, I remember the translation being wrong. It was either "I ARE ASLEEP" or "I FEEL ASLEEP" or something like that. And I prefer the MSX music, it's more lively and less monotonous than the NES version.
383158 I actually like both versions of the music, though the MSX version is better.
I thought it was "I FEEL ASLEEP" last time I checked.

Thought so.
383172 Oh by the way, good luck at school.
First thoughts: "HE UPDATED LE RETOUR?!"
Next thoughts: "...I can dream."

Thanks!

Oh shaddup, I'm working on it.
