I've been thinking. · 2:50am May 24th, 2013
So I've been thinking a lot about WHY I write on my hiatus. And I see what I've been doing wrong this whole time. Every letter of every word I've typed on this site was typed for the wrong reason.
To please others.
I always tried to listen to everyone following me. I didn't care about how I wanted the story to go, I only cared about making everyone else happy. So when I ran out of ideas for Le Retour shortly after ending A Shadow Brought to Light, I grasped for ideas to keep you all happy. That's when A Dash Of Stardust happened, but the drive for that ran out fast. Know why?
I tried to write it to please everyone here.
That's why I haven't updated in so long. I just don't know how to write for myself. That's why I've been doing Lets Plays here and there, because I enjoy that more than writing. Don't get me wrong, I'm still trying to conjure up some writing skill, but I'm not sure what'll happen from here. I just... I don't really know, really.
I guess I just thought you all should know I'm not dead.
No joke I bought you really were dead. But if you don't want to continue the fic let somepony else continue it. I tend to make characters overpowered... A lot. My imagination is limitless. If I only had the intention span to put it on paper...
Let's Plays you say? Anything Multiplayer? :D
Cuz, ya know, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is free this weekend
Don't worry about it, writing with passion behind it will always surpass writingw with disdain at its root.
Then write what YOU want, not us, if it's what you want to do, then do it, we won't stop you.
I love you bro, but I totally told you so. Many times. For a long time. I am glad that you came to this conclusion on your own, and I am confident that you'll come up with a solution on your own. Just know that we're here for ya if you need us.
It is both good to know that you still walk this dusty globe with us, and that you've reached the epiphany most writers eventually find. Although writing for others can bring some transitory sense of gratification, the true joy in writing is creating something that YOU love. Putting your work out there should never be ABOUT finding an audience that appreciates it, it should be about reveling in the fact that an audience for your work was there to be found. I tend to be very vocal about works that I find and enjoy, but the worst feeling for me is when a writer compromises his or her vision after reading my comments. I'm not just spouting crap here, I can cite several instances where sections of my comments ended up coming directly out of the mouths of characters in one story or another. My point being that in any story I read, I want to hear the authors voice.
Hell, I lost my train of thought.
Hi, glad you piped up! Keep writing if you find the inspiration, and stay true to your vision!
That stuff, yeah. Cursed booze.
Everyone reaches this point eventually.
All of my stories are on hiatus due to the similar fact that I enjoy doing other things than writing.
You need to remember though, Kyle, these stories are not dedicated to them, but to your own creativity.
Take your time, as I have found that from the dead, great life is made.
I'm happy with whatever you write, don't need to please others.
Write for yourself. Others will enjoy what you write even more if you're the one enjoying it to the fullest. That's where true quality comes in and where the need of writing turns into a want. Don't make it into a work chore, make it into a passion if you so desire to. Just have fun and others will have fun too, it has to relate to biology or something like that,
That being said, I'm also on a Mega Hiatus
Just remember that I support you 100% all the way no matter what the situation is.
For me honestly, if you just keep writing, I'll be happy. I want to see how the writer does it in his/her own way. And for them to also take their time. No need for rushed work. As long as you keep writing.

No multiplayer yet. I've been uploading some videos of The Walking Dead to my friend's channel, TheArisoner. Check it out if you want. I have another LP of Fallout 3 lined up with a good few episodes in the bank, ready to go up.
Write what you want to write. You don't need to take suggestions from us. Oh, I also have a story I'm working on for Red vs Blue fans like me. It's called Tucker's Pony Fantasy. Only 2 chapters so far, but I don't really plan ahead. I just write on the spur of the moment.
