Well, guys, I suppose you've noticed that I'm back to writing again. It's been a rough few months, emotionally. I quit my job, my grandmother died, and I fell into a terrible funk during which it became nearly impossible to motivate myself.
I quit my job recently. After several years of working for this company, I got sick of the scheduling SNAFUs, lack of time off, and other issues that made it among the worst jobs I have had in my long and storied career(s).
So, as A Busman's Holiday is nearing its conclusion, I'm working on plans for the sequel, which promises to be a bit longer than the original. In the interim, there's this.
Expect the final chapter(s) soon.
Edit: This post doesn't have nearly enough commas in it. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, there.
8902 It did. I'm debating putting the story on hold until someone answers it. Of course, everything's on hold for a day or two.
8903 Ah, the Sword of Damocles, a metaphor made literal within the context of the original legend... Greek kings were not known for their subtlety, I'm afraid.
Hm. I'd prescribe the use of a specialized headcovering by both patient and medic to avoid further complications, but I didn't think the spasms themselves had a cure besides waiting them out. However, to be safe, further observation will be necessary, particularly above the cranial regions of, again, both patient and medic.
(In other words: umbrella hats for everypony, and look out for falling objects. Probably not swords, but you never know.)

Andddd... what is with the double-posting today? And no way to remove comments on a blog post...?
8842 I know, right?
Well, I lol'd at the question. It seemed like it came from Fastest Fall in Equestria, amiright?
Just watch out for the Swords.

Interesting. Almost word-for-word from the textbook, though.
(In other words: Almost the exact phrasing I would have used. Except I would have said headgear.)
