Yes that title is a Jojo reference.
I had a weird dream last night.
So, Hunters had gotten really popular(for some reason) and an animator and some of his friends wants to animate the first chapter. I was shocked beyond words and very happy, so I said yes.
We traded skype info and they keep me up to date on everything, even showing me the designs they had for Flash and Twilight.
Then came the day of the release and I was pretty excited.
Two minutes in and I noticed something was wrong. Flash was nowhere to be seen. Instead, we got Sunburst(or Sunset. I don't remember who) in his role.
I was shocked, to say the least, but continued to watch. Sunburst/Set didn't have any of Hunter Flash's mannerisms and wasn't even a hybrid. I was really odd watching this. So, the episode ended and I contacted the person in charge of the project. They didn't have a lot of time to talk that day, so we scheduled a Skype group call for the next day.
The group call happened and I first thanked them for taking an interest in my work. Then I asked about the character swap. Their answer? They didn't want to enrage the large majority of fans who hate Flash, so they swapped him out for different character.
This really annoyed me. Not only did they make a huge change without my permission but they lied to my face. Despite my anger, I was calm in my response to them.
I told them that while I do understand the reason, they still had no right to do this. The story wouldn't even exist without Flash. I wrote it with him in mind as the main character(one of them). I was more upset at being lied to then the character swapping. I told them they are free to continue animating if they so desire, but I requested that they remove any and all references to Hunters and that I did not want anything to do with this project anymore.
Then, I woke up.
It was a really bizarre dream.
Maybe its a sign of what's to come (but hopefully not all of it).
