Considering I'm going to be seeing a lot of Snorlax in Pokemon Sun (Starting from X/Y, I've made it a trend to keep the first event Pokemon as a permanent member of my party, specifically the Blazikenite Torchic in X/Y, the Shiny Metagrossite Beldum in Omega Ruby/Apha Sapphire, and now the Snorlium-Z Munchlax in Sun/Moon), I'd like to mention something interesting about this colossal Pokemon. It took this Pokemon over 17 years to stand up in the core series games (I know about Snorlax standing in Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness. but those aren't part of the core series). Snorlax started out lying down on it's back in Red and Blue, and gradually worked its way to standing up with each new generation until it was finally standing in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. It was even referenced in the trailer for Snorlax's new Z move in Sun/Moon called Pulverizing Pancake, where Snorlax FINALLY opens its eyes and actually RUNS.
