PONY BALL GT: Stage 1 Research - Complete · 12:39pm Sep 22nd, 2012
Well, in exactly one weeks time, I have finished all thirteen Dragonball Z movies. I can honestly say that I'm glad I chose to watch them. The only one I was completely disappointed in was Lord Slugg. I think some of them could have been better, but they all at least were entertaining.... except for Lord Slugg. That one was terrible.
Research went very well! I got some really good ideas for a few things that I think you guys will like. I've got one more stage of research to complete, and then I can iron out a complete story. I'm missing a few things here and there to make the story properly. I've got a lot of it in my head, but there are a few things that I'm having trouble working the kinks out of. As I've said before, this one is going to be A LOT longer than PONY BALL Z. The first story arc alone could easily break the length of PBZ.
I just talked to an artistic friend of mine last night. We ironed out the final details of what I want for the cover art for PONY BALL GT, and he's now ready to start working on it! I think you guys will like what we have going on. His schedule is kind of tight right now, so he might not have it to me in the one month that I wanted to start publishing.
Anyway... In about a week I'll be ready start stage 2 of my research... DRAGONBALL! The only time I got to watch DB was when it was airing on Toonami years ago, so my memory of it is a little rusty. Spoiler Alert!!!! : There are gonna be some references to it, so I want to make sure my information is accurate. I have to at least watch the first season or two; though I will own all of it before it's said and done with.
Well, that's all I have for you guys right now. I'll provide another update as the time gets closer. Oh, and one last thing. I have been watching everything in Japanese. If there is something that I'll be using that I haven't seen the English name of, I'll be using the Japanese name.

And man, Lord Slugg really sucked? I heard it wasn't that good, but how bad was it really?
375659 Lord Slugg was a TERRIBLE villain! They explain him being an evil Namekian as just a "mutation".The power scaling was so horribly off in that movie. It took place after Namek, it references Freiza and super saiyans, but Goku can't go super saiyan. Gohan should have been able to handle most of the bad guys on his own, but he and Piccolo get handled by them. The plot was so stupid too.... God I hated that movie
What was your favorite movie? I bet it was the first Broly movie, that one was awesome!

Actually my favorites were the first three movies. Dead Zone, The World's Strongest, and Tree of Might.
