A Story from Crystal Mountain Ponycon 2016: With M.A. Larson in the Staff Room!

So, I got the special chance to do a panel at Crystal Mountain Ponycon in June 2016! So, I got to be in the staff room. I was in the staff room with my friend and we were working on the finishing touches to one of our panels.

Then, the door swung open and we saw three very special people from My Little Pony! M.A. Larson (A writer AKA the alicorn king), Kelly Sheridan (voice actress of Starlight Glimmer and Sassy Saddles), and Shannon Chan-Kent (voice actress of Silver Spoon and singing voice of Pinkie Pie). I felt like flipping out in my seat, but I just said, "Hey, M.A. Larson," like I've known him for ages. He took this as no surprise and said, "Hey" back. I earned laughs from Kelly and Shannon, though.

They sat down in seats around us and they got on computers and looked things up. So, they began asking us our favorite things about the show. When Shannon started singing "Winter Wrap up" in her Pinkie voice though, I really had to restrain myself from fangirling.

One time, the subject of our favorite writer came up. M.A. Larson was like "No, no favorite writers." My friend listened to him and kept her opinions to herself. However, I said my favorite writer was Amy Keating Rogers. He looked at me with narrowed eyes and Kelly and Shannon just laughed. And then he says something of pure gold, "Without me, Twilight Sparkle wouldn't be an alicorn." And I just burst out laughing and replied, "True, true."

Then, I asked him to make Big Mac a princess. M.A. Larson said, "Watch Episode 13 of Season 5. It was already done." I almost forgot about that.

After a while, they had to go to the opening ceremonies though. Although, I was so happy I had the chance to chat with them in the staff room. It was so cool!
