I have officially added a page for a sequel to Ponymon Girls titled Ponymon Girls 2: Precious Metals (in reference to the main portion of the gen 2 games being called Gold and Silver). Jigglypuff will have an interesting situation because Fluttershy will have lost it due to a shield break (I'll explain what I mean in a video down below for those of you who haven't played Smash Bros) and her team will start out with a Gastly, a Charizard, a Bunneary, a Zubat, a Teddiursa, and a Mewtwo. The teammates won't be switched out at any point in time, although they will evolve over the course of the story. I'm going to keep the plot secret until I have written and posted the first chapter(s) of the story, but that won't happen until I can play Sun or Moon (the Special Demo Version doesn't cut it, because I would really like to incorporate Z-moves into the story, and you can only use one of those in the demo, and I don't know if Pokemon that can Mega Evolve can also use Z-moves).

4315283 According to Bulbapedia, "A Z-Move is a special type of move introduced in Generation VII in which a Trainer and their Pokémon's wishes combine to unleash an attack comprising the full power of both." They are supposed to take a normal move and super charge it. And there's also supposed to be some pokemon, like Eevee, Pikachu, and Snorlax that have exclusive Z-moves. They can only be used once per battle, like Mega Evolution. Just in case this doesn't make sense (heck, it's not even making sense to me and I wrote it) I'll leave the Bulbapedia link.
Z-Move

4315294 That also wasn't the only reason to wait. Several pokemon have received new forms (called Alolan forms) that completely change their typesets, and while I don't know them all, I know for certain that Diglett, Dugtrio, Exeggutor, Raichu, Vulpix and Meowth are all examples.

Also, the alola forms are (according to Serebi.net) Rattata (dark/normal type), Raticate (dark/normal type), Raichu (electric/psychic type), Sandshrew (ice/steel type), Sandslash (ice/steel type), Vulpix (ice type), Ninetails (ice/fairy type), Diglett (ground/steel type), Dugtrio (ground/steel type), Meowth (dark type), Persian (dark type), Geodude (rock/electric type), Garveler (rock/electric type), Golem (rock/electic type), Grimer (poison/dark type), Muk (poison/dark type), Exeggutor (grass/dragon type), and Marowak (fire/ghost type). Also, it looks like some of them have new Abilities.
And personally, I think I'm going to have to find a way to get a Vulpix when I get one of the games, just because of how beautiful Ninetails looks. serebii.net/sunmoon/pokemon/038-a.png

4315679 By the way, that was supposed to be a slight spoiler for my next short. It takes place in Rogueport of Paper Mario: the Thousand Year Door, and instead of using 1-up Mushrooms to revive Mario and his partners, that game uses something called Life Shrooms. They're white with red hearts on the cap and give Mario 5 hp if he runs out of health.
4316172 Also, when I said that only one Z-move can be used per battle, I mean that in general, because I got the feeling that it was like Mega Evolution (only one pokemon can be allowed to Mega Evolve per battle because the Mega Evolution lasts until the pokemon either faints or the battle is over, and, even if the Pokemon faints, no other Pokemon is allowed to Mega Evolve).
