Nightmare (Midnight Von Blake) - What had ever happened to the lovable twin of Raven will forever remain a mystery to many, but what has become of him will be remembered for years to come. Nightmare is nothing more than a shell of what once was Midnight Von Blake, a shell that is the living embodiment of a true nightmare. Brought to life through the use of dark alicorn magic, Nightmare’s goal is to bring the downfall of the Equestrian Kingdom by fear. His powers are similar, yet terrifyingly different to those of Nightmare Moon. Using the fears of his victims and his dark abilities, he can create physical images that can and will drives those who oppose him insane. Only one pony has been known to survive his presence and keep his mind. He lives in the Dark Realm, where he was banished to by the Elements of Harmony after their first encounter.
He also cheats in Hide-and-Seek.
