Because I am going to a different school next year. I always struggled to make friends and I finally made a really good friend last year. This friend introduced me to even more good friends.
A few minutes ago, I was listening to a song playlist and this song came on:
And it reminded me of the Halloween dance at my school, when this song came on all the friends/"squads" in the gym including us got together and danced together and hugged and stuff, which is when I realized how much I love these friends. And the thought that I have to leave them next year makes me really sad.
I have a really good friend who goes to the school I'll be transferring to so I don't have to make friends all over again but I really don't want to leave these friends. I have one year left with them.
The song will remind me of them when I transfer... I hope I don't cry every time I hear this song next year.
I've been in the same situation as you when I had to move to a different school away from my friends. Let's just say it did not go well...
