The "Silly God Damn hero" speech from My Favorite Year. A comedy that is still my favorite movie.

Alan Swann: I'm afraid, Stienberg... I'm just afraid.

Benji Stone: You Alan Swann afraid? The Captain from Tortuga? The Last Knight of the Round Table?

Alan Swann: Those are movies, damn you, look at me!!! I'm flesh and blood, life size! I'm not that silly goddamn hero, I never was!

Benji Stone: To me you were! Those silly god damn heroes meant a lot to me! And the only way that's possible is that deep down inside you you HAD that courage! No one is that good an actor! So don't tell me this is you "life size." I can't use you life size! I need Alan Swanns as BIG as I can get them!!
