Disclaimer: As you can probably tell by the fact that I'm comparing him to one of the show's antagonists, I am anti-Trump. So if you like him and get offended when others don't, just ignore this post and read elsewhere. Now on to the list!
Top Three Reasons Donald Trump is Similar to Trixie Lulamoon (In No Particular Order):
1. They both brag a lot.
Trixie is always bragging about her incredible magic powers. In almost all of the episodes she's featured in, she tries to show off. Trump, too,
likes to brag about... everything, really. From his wealth to his hand size, you name he's bragged about it.
2. Neither one is as good as they think they are.
Whenever Trixie actually tries to show off, she fails. Miserably. In Boast Busters, she is unable to fight the Ursa Minor, and in No Second Prances she has to be saved from death by manticore by Starlight Glimmer. Trump, too, has made promises he can't keep. Especially regarding immigration. That wall just isn't getting built, and he knows it.
3. They are the practical opposites of their opponents.
For Trixie, this opponent is Twilight Sparkle. While Trixie is boastful and rude, Twilight is extremely modest and polite. For Trump, the opponent is obviously Hillary Clinton. While he is an outsider looking to make big changes, she's an insider looking to make progress more slowly.
