Grogar and his bell · 3:10am Nov 1st, 2016
Full disclosure: growing up, the only time I was able to watch MLP was when my parents would rent the tapes from the rental store. No, not Blockbuster. My hometown didn't have one. The videos weren't in terribly good shape, they had been watched so many times. That means my knowledge of Grogar etc. comes from the various wikias (and my knowledge is incomplete). But that doesn't mean I don't get ideas.
Grogar is an "evil demonic ram necromancer" and his powers come from the bells he wears. But where did the bells come from? My idea is a crossover. In the Old Kingdom book series, the Dead are controlled via bells. Different bells have different effects. Those wielded by the line known as the Abhorsen are used to lay the Dead to rest. Few people can do this. Outside that family line, the bells are not controlled, they are very dangerous. What if one of these bells fell through worlds and Grogar obtained it?
I see Grogar possessing Saraneth. It is known as The Binder. It forces obedience from the Dead (and does affect the living). It sounds just like something he would have.
So, on the off chance I ever wrote this, it would definitely have a human tag.
Sounds spooky!
You know MLP G1 is on DVD now, right? IIRC Netflix doesn't have it in stock; but you might be able to get it through your local library system if you don't want to pay full price.
It's also available online, but I don't want to break the rule about links to copyrighted material.

That's what I thought! Just had to share it. The timing worked out perfectly.

I hadn't noticed it was available. Hmmmm. I will have to check them out. The library system has them. Just need to find the necessary episodes.
I don't blame you about not wanting to break the rule about copyrighted material. It's one thing to write fan fiction, it is another to post whole episodes and whole series, especially if they are available to buy for a reasonable price.
I couldn't help it...

Groovy.
