Forgotten Chapters

My Alice in Wonderland crossover is nearing 700 views, so I thought for this blog I'd talk about two chapters I have taken out of the final version of it.

The first of the two was originally called The Flower Garden. This was based on the scene Alice was wandering through the garden outside The Looking Glass house. However, like the Disney version this was the next area Twilight was originally going to walk through. The flowers were originally casted as Luna, Celestia, and Cadance with a few of the background ponies as daisies. However, I decided it would work better if Lyra and Sunset Shimmer would work better as the Garden Tamers in Return to Wonderland. The dialogue was originally based on Through the Looking Glass but keeps the characters in character.

The second was The Tulgey Wood which was originally the First Half of the eighth chapter in the fiction. Twilight and Fluttershy would've walked through the Tulgey Wood from the Jabberwocky poem, however slightly different from the Disney cartoon, not as dark as the TIm Burton Film, and not as surreal as the Hallmark version (where Alice first enters it through a picture in a book). Though it would be a good moment for Twilight for being curious is one of her defining character traits in the cartoon. This idea was eventually scrapped since it felt as though it didn't add much in the story.
