LEGEND of EVERFREE(WARNING SPOILERS POSSIBLE) · 6:25am Oct 22nd, 2016
just got done watching it and....wow. best one they've made yet. the music, the acting, the storyline. TOTALLY hooked me and pulled me into the vine work.
puns. they are a thing.
I think my favorite part was the ending after the credits, their expressions were priceless! Pinkie pie, you never cease to blow me off my sprinkles. XD
still, that ending was....ominous? worrisome? I feel like it kept the door open for more movies(which I do support) but at the same time it left a big fat question mark on my thoughts, and one in particular stands out among them all:
WHERE'D THE DAMN STATUE GO?! I know for a fact that there was a wonder-colts statue on the top of that pedestal and its just GONE?!
ya can't do that Hasbro, seriously. that's like... like a crack in the foundation of what i know so far!
Now, a few things about the movie:
1. the villain, totally loved her. her design, her attitude, the way they connected everything together( and she subsequently tore it all apart). It left me wanting more of her. I had ten or so story ideas dashing through my head while she was on screen, and I might write a few of em, ya know, if i'm fast enough.
2. Outfits. The outfits, to say the least, sparkled. I liked how they shimmered under specific situations, and the designs seemed like a rarity among the other tidbits of clothing we get to see, but together they felt harmonious... XD
3. Celestia/Luna. there is one scene in this movie where Celestia gets so cliche, that it's endearing, and i love her all the same for that. Luna seems to have a deeper connection with her sister than previously presumed, and we got to see some of that, which was nice. gave the side characters a little lighting while in darker circumstances.
GRIPES:
I have a few, bear with me.
1. the elements(of everfree). While an unexpected turn in plot, and one I enjoyed all around the camp, I have to say it was slightly irritating? Yes, slightly. I felt like not using the actual Gaea Everfree was a little dis-heartening. it would have been neat to connect with a villain that we didn't already suspect and know. Maybe throw in a little back story, or hell, let's see Gaea show up in equestria, riding an armored timberwolf named BJORN, and wearing a crown of thorns while we're at it!
i'm kidding. that was humor *cough* yer supposed to laugh.
2. Fluttershy. She felt literally useless! "oh I can commune with animals, but I can't do anything to hinder the everfree from snaring my friends, oh wait! yes I can, I can dig a hole for us to-- nope...that got filled with vines too....darn. ah well, I give up."
it felt like her special power was completely over shadowed by the dome of power covering the camp(the one with vines for those with bad perception stats) I thought it might be neat for fluttershy to have a power moment, but nope. they stuck her in the dirt....literally.
3.....um.....something not tooo negative about something, but something i want to growl at. yes....my third gripe....veeeery informative...(don't look at me like that! it's almost midnight! and I can't wait for TWILIGHT!)

it's okay to look at the human figure and feel an attraction, it's natural, and something that cannot be avoided as a human. anyway, I still prefer feral Ponies to anthro and human, also EQG still isn't to my Liking, though with season 6 out, I've become addicted to Ember, and Thorax. Both are adorable.
