FOR NURGLE! · 11:53pm Oct 2nd, 2016

I bring to thee a passage describing Rathus, my Plague Marine! Post advice and thoughts below!

Most apparent among these newcomers, however, was a towering giant that stood at least two heads above those around him. The thing’s armor was green with rot; it was tumorous, with many greasy, pulsating lumps growing in several places. Flakes of ancient paint chipped and crumbled into dust with every solitary movement this decaying monstrosity made; the perforated pauldrons on this beast’s shoulders leaked some kind of dark fluid. An algae-colored tube -once utilized to transfer air to the wearer (and was connected to the mouth area of the helmet via the chest)- seemed to squirm and writhe like some tortured animal. If one listened closely, they would’ve heard the sounds of squirming, oily, obese grubs prowling it.

The midsection of the armor- which protected a rotund, ball sized stomach which gurgled and sloshed with bile while quivering due to the sounds of parasites- was covered in old rust, which in turn was covered in a strange, fleshy substance that was almost fatty in consistency, yet was nigh-bulletproof in practice. The rotted Marine gagged and coughed as pus occasionally came from various orifices and holes in the decaying protective suit. Suddenly, one of the aforementioned tumors burst, letting loose a torrent of pus, blood, and black and yellow bile of an unknown nature. The smell of over ten-thousand years of putrefaction swiftly permeated the air, seemingly casting a fell black cloud due to its pervasive strength. Despair came with it, and it would have drowned any hopeful souls in its oblivion… As if they would've been spared.

The thing hacked and vomited, the chunky, yellow slime oozing out from under its helm as it spoke to Dragos. “Dragos…” Rathus went, his voice thick, oily and wheezy, bubbling with decay and corrosion.
