October 1, 2016 Update

So I thought to myself, "It's weird that I do these updates at the start of the month." So I'm probably going to do another October 2016 update at the end of the month, then start doing the updates at the end of the month. It sounds better to me.

September. What a month. I've heard it's the most depressing month of the year. That wouldn't surprise me, it certainly felt like it. But hey, it's over now! Besides, all in all, it was a good month. College is... Mmm, let's not talk about that...

I really don't know how to organize this post, so bear with me.

My newest story, Reaction, is already sitting at 31,000 words. Though granted, of that, only 15,400 of that can be attributed to a span of two weeks. Its reception has been quite well, in my opinion. The next chapter is sitting around 3.8k words right now, but I'm not sure I like what I have so far.

Post Revolution... I've made limited progress in it. Chapter 12 is sitting at 4k words, and the bulk of it I don't think I like, so I'll probably scrap it, which puts me back a while.

Revisions of Past Mistakes is... Well... I don't know. I'm still trying to decide the best course of action to take to end it, but I'm getting closer to deciding. I don't have an estimate for the chapter's length. It could be anywhere from 3k-12k words long, but I haven't even started it yet, so I cannot say with any accuracy. On a side note, the story is sitting at 132,000 words long, making it the longest piece of work I've written. It's also inside the top 1700 longest stories on this site. I would be lying if I said I wasn't proud of that.

Civil War of Harmony... New chapter coming out later today. Sitting at 6k words. I don't really have a lot to say about it. Messaged Skydrake a lot when writing it, I don't think it would be ready to be published yet if it wasn't for him. I kind of had a meltdown and overreaction See what I did there? when I started on it. I kept drawing a blank. It may surprise you or it may not surprise you to find out that, contrary to what you may think, I don't actually have outlines or plans for anything I write. It's all in my head, hence why I don't have a very organized schedule or anything.

Still thinking about that one new story I mentioned in my last blog post. If I work on that, I want to wait a while so that I can finish up some of my current stories. Actually, it may be more accurate to say I have two permutations of it. One of them is a bit more... Intense... than the other. And, ironically, that's the one I'm leaning towards. Maybe it's not ironic.

Statistics: Views per day increased from 20.43 to 23.42, total views increased from roughly 11,700 to 14,130, a very large increase that I do not know where it is from but I'm assuming it's from the numerous group features some of my stories have received. "Don't go to the groups, make the groups go to you," can summarize my thinking in regards of that. Yay, success!

And I'm probably writing this and nobody will view it. That's fine, I guess. It at least gives me something to go back and look at for posterity or to see how far I've come in a few months. Anyway, as usual, I hope you've all had a good month and are having a great day!
