Viva Las Pegasus Review and Spoilers · 4:03pm Sep 17th, 2016
In which the episode tackles an issue that really needed some more expanding on: A false friend. First of all, the choice of ponies for the issue. Applejack and Fluttershy were perfect because they are down to earth, downright mellow and, most of all, have strong familiar ties, They were the perfect ones to solve the squabble between Flim and Flam that prove that once we see a secondary antagonist a second or third time they prove surprisingly deep. I appreciated the fake friendship problems that reflects an important truth: human (or pony) relationship are complicated and people squabbling is a common sight. The episode had a Coen Brothers/Fallout: New Vegas feel witht he girls running around and using those persuasion checks Loved the fact that Las Pegasus' entertainment is as family friendly as the show can be with Dance Dance Revolution and Skeeball. Seriously, if they let Pinkie and Dash go there we would've seen them one week later having done nothing but have fun. That Map is smart, guys.
