Pokemon Sun & Moon Theories (Updated) · 3:39am Sep 8th, 2016

All of these theories are from other people. I take no credit in making them, though I fully endorse them.
Theory 1:
Colress Returns
This is a bit farfetched since the guy in the back could simply be the scientist class for this generation, but the resemblances are a little uncanny, wouldn't you say? Besides, when you beat him for the last time in Black 2 & White 2, Colress DID mention that his next creation would have nothing to do with Team Plasma and instead would make it so Pokemon and people could communicate. Sound familiar?
Theory 2:
Lillie is not UB-01
While I did mention that Lillie could be UB-01, but the more I thought about it the more I was lead to believe that Lillie could very well just be friends with UB-01. It is said that UB-01 constantly changes form and mimics the movements of a young girl. This could be because UB-01 is trying to be more like Lillie in an attempt to show its affection. Apparently someone on Reddit combined the UB-01's cry with the cry we heard inside Lillie's bag and they were almost identical. Furthermore, we could also speculate that Lillie is Kukui's assistant not to "tap dat ass", but rather to learn more about UB-01 and care for it.
Theory 3:
Lillie, Lusamine & Gladion are Related
There is a high probability that at least two of these three characters are related to each other. There could be Lillie and Lusamine; a little sister hiding away from her big sister to protect UB-01 from Aether experiments. There could be Lusamine and Gladion; siblings who chose two different ways of living with one being in the high-up Aether Foundation and the other being in Team Skull. There could be Lillie and Gladion; twins who have the same ideals and thoughts yet have very different beliefs on how they should be executed. Or they could all be siblings together, meaning they'll butt heads with one-another every now and then to show their own beliefs and eventually hug it out at the end because THIS IS AN E-RATED GAME, DAMMIT!!
Theory 4:
Aether is manipulating Alola
What if Team Skull was hired by the Aether Foundation to cause a ruckus and steal Pokemon so the foundation could come down to "save" or "rescue" them? It gets better. What if those "saved" Pokemon were then experimented on to create beasts much like Type: Null, like Chimeras of a sort. And it gets better! What if Gladion and Lillie were actually Lusamine's siblings who were sent out to monitor both the good side (Kukui) and the bad side (Team Skull) so nothing goes wrong with their plans? This way, literally everything is under control by the Aether Foundation without anyone living in Alola knowing about it; like a mouse trap right under their noses. If this were the case, we now know why there are so many blonde people in Alola. Good god, I hope this is the story for this game!
Theory 5:
Lusamine, Gladion and Lillie are Ultra Beasts
I already gave you the theory that Lillie may be an Ultra Beast, but what about her supposed siblings? If they are related, that would mean they too would be Ultra Beasts. My guess is that Ultra Beasts come from a different dimension and are curious about human and Pokemon relationships. But after they saw how Pokemon battles worked, they thought that humans forced Pokemon to do these things and thus began to distrust them. The took the forms of humans and blended in with them in order to accomplish whatever goals they needed to do. Because they can't stay in the same shape for very long (as implied by GameFreak), we see Gladion have a nervous twitch every so often, as if it was an attempt to stay human for just a little longer. While I don't think this theory is quite as solid as some of the others, it would still be interesting to see in Sun and Moon.
Theory 6:
The Final Battle is in the Ultra Beast World
This is actually my own theory. Due to GameFreak stating that Solgaleo and Lunala's encounter will be much different from other Legendary encounters, my guess is that they'll serve as a sort of portal to the final area of the game. Solgaleo and Lunala were probably used by ancient people and Pokemon to travel between worlds, and my guess is that they were guardians of the Ultra Beast realm who made sure they never escaped. That is until now, of course. Inter-dimensional travel is no stranger to Pokemon like with one of the more famous cases being the Distortion World, so I wouldn't be surprised if we actually go somewhere else. Ultra Beasts seem to have a large impact on the story of Sun and Moon, and quoting Lockstin on this: "It all comes together". I believe that the final boss of Pokemon Sun and Moon is an Ultra Beast; the most powerful of them all. And if not that, then someone or something else controlling the ultimate Ultra Beast. Either way, I feel as if a final battle will take place within the Phazon-filled world of the Ultra Beast dimension.

Yeah, I had a feeling they might all be ultra beasts. Though honestly part of me wonders if there not the only ones taking human form....

With each blog I see more similarities between Lusamine and Ragyo (Kill La Kill). I kinda expect the game now to go like KLK with its story. Maybe Lusamine works for/is controlled by the ultrabeast leader and uses Æther to prepare the world for an ultrabeast invasion.
