Salem Sirens · 1:43am Aug 30th, 2016
Reading some Dazzling stories, I had a thought which led to an idea.
Rainbow Rocks was released in 2014, so we'll use that for the present time of the movie (even though it's probably sooner since it's only a few months after the first movie). Also, let us assume that despite the similarities to Equestria, the human world's history pretty much mirrors our own. Finally, based on the accents, we will conclude that Canterlot High is a school in the United States.
If the time between the two worlds moves at the same speed (for the sake of this), then the sirens would have been sent to the human world in 1014. Either they would have been sent to the same area, and wound up dealing with the wilderness and ancient american tribes, or they would have been sent to another place -- possibly Europe -- and moved with the changes the world went through. Most likely they moved around a lot regardless, having to find people and use their powers to feed off them. While I like the second more, either way it means that they would be around for the start and growth of the United States.
So, historical Dazzling stories. Tales of where they were through out history and how their power influenced things. For example, imagine them in a country/kingdom/etc that is on the brink of war and everyone is tense. Then the three of them come along, sing a little, talk to a few, and send the whole thing over into a full blown war. Humans fight among themselves, and the three of them get a nice big meal.
Now for the idea:
The Dazzlings and The Salem Witch Trials.
I don't mean that the three are accused of being witches. Quite the opposite, in fact. They coax the humans under their power and get them to turn on each other, accusing innocent people of being witches and feeding off the strife while remaining free. Draw a person away from the town, do a little singing, make a few "innocent" comments here and there, and then someone is declaring that so-and-so is a witch who did something or other. Meanwhile, the trio enjoy the trouble and laugh at the stupidity of the humans.
Nice. This made me think of a parody I saw in a webcomic that since been deleted.
Sonata: "We've been here for like a thousand years and it's just the worst! Remember when we first came here in the dark ages, and they tried to burn Aria for being a bitch?"
Aria: "Witch! They tried to burn me for being a witch, Sonata! Jesus!"
Sonata: (Flips Aria off while eating a taco) "I'm pretty sure I didn't mishear them, Aria."
Only after I type this do I find a good quality picture of it by accident.

Makes sense.
This is a planned part of the sequel series to A Touch Of Evil.
Which I am working on.
