A love letter to my readers · 7:00pm Sep 12th, 2012
I've never really done a blog post before, so here goes nothing.
First of all i want to say i'm sorry that I've strung you guys along for such a time and never really updated my story, i really should be putting more time towards it and I only have myself to blame. This ISN'T some form of goodbye letter as i tell you all I've canceled DDF or something, this is alot more of a thank you note to all of you who have favorited and followed and watched me over the somewhat year and a half since i'm pretty sure i started this behemoth.
So all of that silly thank you stuff should go here, but now for some other news. Mainly four chunks of news.
Chapter 12 is currently in development, and has been for almost 7 months now, it is at this moment hovering around 40 pages at 20k words and is probably only 70-80% done by my guess, the only thing i can't decide is if i should split it up into little chunks and release them as they are done to speed up my update time, or just wait till i feel its at 100% and release it when it is just that.
I am also in need of pre-readers, i have been gone so long that all my old contacts have... kinda disappeared on me, rightfully so its what i get for being a ghost for what 9 months? So if you feel like doing such just private message me, i'll take any level of experience i can get and i'm not so arrogant to think that my work is infallible.
Speaking of infallible, i recently re-wrote the first chapter, taking a 1.9k chapter and turning it into a 8k word behemoth... man my editors are going to love me if i ever become a professional writer. SO if you can go read that and tell me what you think, I've thought of rewriting some other sections of the story, and might just do so if time permits because there are some sections int eh early chapter i am no longer proud of and think they should be redone.
The fourth and final bit of news is a thing about time, alot of stuff has happened over the last year or so, some good some bad we all know how it goes. So i just wanted to say i seem to be with less time to do stuff nowadays. I'm not sure if i'll ever call DDF dead, i consider it a challenge to myself to finish it some day, so as long as that story status says HIATUS, don't lose hope, i'm probably writing a spare sentence or two for it whenever i can.

20000 words?! Split that monster up! Even the bigger stories usually hesitate to go much bigger than 10K per chapter.
And I'm glad to see some more movement on this story. That Ghoul Bite stuff gave me some great ideas for my own D&D campaign.

MFW I looked back at the actual story page and saw two 20K+ chapters and a 44K chapter! How did I ever finish reading that monster?!
