You had me... then you lost me. No offense to your writing ability, but I don't like the way he left Akane. Why couldn't you have it be her instead? I thought their awkwardness was adorable. You do need a proofreader too.

Sigh, I knew this was coming so I better get on with it. First off I'll answer funkyferret.

If you've read and payed attention to the manga series you'd notice that her "awkwardness" isn't really adorable if you look and read in between the line as it where. Through out the series Akane has hammered, punted, kicked, punched, yelled, belittled, lashed out at wrong time, argued over pointless issues, blamed with out properly understanding the situation... and well to put it simply Akane nearly made Ranma's life just as bad as Genma had. Now when compared to Kasumi well now you see a completely different story. Kasumi is the completely alternate side of Akane: Calm, patient, willing to talk over argue, and actually cares for Ranma, unlike Akane who is always mad, very ill patients and only cared about him for nearly one chapter. NEARLY. You also have to understand WHY he left Nerima and Akane the way he did. Now I know a lot of fans, like you, find Akane's "awkwardness" adorable but try to understand it from Ranma's view. To Ranma he was constantly a prize, a bargaining chip, and was constantly, dare I say, abused, for most of his life and sadly Akane was like adding gas to an already out of control fire. Also there was the issues with Genma and Soun's desire to join the schools at any cost on top of Ryoga's revenge, Ukyo's need to marry, Kodachi's wish to marry him out of lust, Tatawaki wanting to kill him because Genma and Soun have made Akane his fiance, Kodachi antigen to kill his girl side because she thinks she's in love with his male side, Tatawaki wanting to marry his girl side because he's insanely in love with it, along with hundred if not thousands of other reasons that well it was finally time for Ranma to say, "I give up!" But to do so meant getting his life back under control and to do so he had to leave the ones controlling it, namely Genma and Soun. Now since this is a cross over of FiM I needed to bend the story quite a bit to get it to work so I had a choice to make on who he really loved and come to find out through elimination it was Kasumi. I won't go into details as to how I did this but trust me he's better off with Kasumi than anyone else.

As for RavensDagger, I've read all of Wanderer D's How to guide Blogs thank you very much along with twenty others on over ten sites I read fiction from alogn with plenty of books, mangas, Video Games, DVDs and the like, so I'm quite well rounded on the subjects I type up.
