A Possible Composition

This is just a quick update from the FimFiction hiatus I've decided to take. It's a bit of a pre-story warning; as in, I have written a very short story that might possibly make an appearance, but it may have to undergo some revision first.

If I haven't mentioned this before, I am an aspiring pianist. I'm sure most of you know that our wonderfully talented fandom is very capable of creating excellent music; some of it instrumental, which is my personal favorite. I decided a few weeks ago that I would like to try composing a fan-made song of my own, dedicated to one of the characters.

I mentioned this to my piano teacher, and my instructions to follow were very simple; write a story. And we'll build something from that.

This story is somewhere on my hard drive--it's very, very short, but enough to work off of as far as a composition goes. When I get the composition up, perhaps I'll post the story. I'm not promising anything.

But if any of you would like some kind of hint as to what it would be about, it's a composition based around Luna's character. I am well aware there are many, many dark/grim/sad/depressing/painful tales of her time on the moon as a prisoner of her own sister, and I am well aware they sound the same. Likewise, I know that there are plenty of Luna-dedicated songs out there. I'm going to give it a shot anyway. If it doesn't turn out too terribly, perhaps I will work on something of Discord or Twilight Sparkle's nature. I know either of those would be incredibly fun to work with.

So we'll see. It won't make any profound impact on anyone but myself, most likely, but we'll see.
