Dash! Oh dash, why can't I make you easily in windows? 
No, not Rainbow Dash, I mean dash! —
Started trying to expand my use of punctuation a little more, copied and pasted latest chapter into fimfic, then found a mistake. Need to use some dashes and froze, unable to work out how to fix it. Ended up making a dash in libreoffice and copying it over.
After asking around, the easiest way to do it is to not use less-common punctuation. The second easiest way to do it is if you have a programmable keyboard. Alt + 0151 also does the job but is annoying to use. 
It would be nice if we had a [-] command in fimfic to be able to insert them and know they are always going to work, but such is life.
Speaking of life, anyone see that <insert Olympic sport> last night? Wow I thought <insert athlete> was going to win but then <insert country> totally pulled out at the last moment and won! On the bright side, the one cool thing about the modern Olympics is how amazingly they have brought the sciences in to get awards. Between chemists and engineers, the cycling is less and less about athletes and more about technology.
