Big mac proposes to Fluttershy but is rejected, broken hearted he leaves Poneyville and his farm for a new life, Spike joins him cause he was also rejected by Rarity, there friends and family devastated, Applejack no longer considers Fluttershy a friend after what she did to her brother same with Twilight and Rarity, after 8 years they have moved on and forgave each other, then one day a biker gang of wanted fugitives come into Poneyville and start shooting up the town until two mysterious indavidials warring tactical gear and riding choppers show up and start kicking ass and arresting any of the fugitives that are still alive. As the chaos winds down Twilight and the other girls confront them to see who there saviors are and low and behold it's Big Mac and Spike the girls are speachless at there appearance cause Big Mac is even bigger and has a long scar running down from his right eye that's aslo covered by an eyepatch.
Spike has a metal plate covering half his face and muzzle with a glowing red slit in place oh his eye, the two have been through Tarterus and back and come our of it stronger then ever. The girls then bombard them with a group hug but Fluttershy and Rarity stayed back with there heads low and ears back but before Mac and Spike could confront them the lunar gaurd arrived with princess Luna and calls Mac and Spike over to report and debrief. The girls furious that Luna knew where they were all this time but said nothing storm up to them ready to tare Luna a new one but are held back by the lunar gaurd. Luna sees the girls and invites them to Canterlot with a promise that everything will be revealed.....
So yeah that's my idea it's a work in progress and I'm trying to figure out a good back story for Mac and Spike for how they became two bad ass soldiers of fortune and I'm aslo trying to figure out a name for this fic or even if I want to include any clop scenes (tasteful clop I don't do smut) but as you figured there anthro and they have modern technology and please don't hesitate to comment and give me any advice/ideas. I'm not changing the anthro and modern tech...
Seems like a great idea, though if I had to suggest anything. A brief look into the past every so often in say a dream sequence, blurred and disoriented because of trauma they want to forget. It would hint away at something for a while, giving you a chance to come up with what it was.
And how bad it was for them, that they are who they are now. As for a name, bring this up in The Canterlot Cafe to see if anyone there may have an idea or two. Link provided below.

4104997 great minds think alike cause the hole flashback thing I was already going to implement that, as for a name I was thinking either Lunar Outlaws or Broken Outlaws and would you know anyone who might be interested in creating a cover picture? And if so and they need a comparison for my vision of Mac and Spike, Mac would look similar to Lobo from the dc universe comics andSpike would be simular to Moto from from biker mice from mars....
4105395 I'm glad you like the idea, but sadly no I don't know anyone who would. You might want to check the groups here, and see if there might be a group for artists wanting to test themselves. If there isn't one, go by deviant art and see if you can find one there.
And I think a combination of the two titles might work. Like 'Broken Moon Outlaws', 'Outlaws of the Shattered Moon', or possibly 'Lunar Scarred Outlaws'. The choice is yours.
