A Little More About Me · 2:45pm Jul 19th, 2016
Hey, I've been here for quite some time and only now have I realized that I haven't properly introduced myself yet.
Hello, I'm TimesX (originated from Times 10 and pronounced as Times-EX), feel free to shorten it to TX because seriously, I've lost count of how many people had previously used my name thinking it was "Time-Sex" like my whole life was driven by my hormones. And just in case you're wondering, no, my life does not revolve around my sex drive. That would be RePoisn, a friend of mine.
I'm a college student (country and specific university will be kept confidential) taking a pre-medical course in Biology with hopes of making it to med school. Writing is a hobby of mine and usually an escape from all the scientific papers requested of me 24/7 as requirements. I often write when a professor is discussing a subject I am overly familiar with or when I am free from homework (believe me when I say this, homeworks in college can range from one paged wonders to 15-paged demon spawns).
What kind of person am I? I'd like to think of myself as the "chill" type, calm, and peaceful most of the time. This however, does not mean that grades mean nothing— they are everything in pre-med. My current GPA ( >3.5 is all I'm going to say) is still considered competitive when applying for top medical schools.
How I came to like MLP is a story for another day. It was ironic really— how I came to like it. If I were to sum it up it one word it would be...magic?
Currently, while I am writing this, I am working on a project. I'm writing a thesis proposal about Mycoremediation for my ecology class and am currently suffering from overwork due to my other subject, medical microbiology. It's not the subject that makes it difficult to get a 4.0 in the subject but rather the professor who treats us like Ph.D. students instead of undergrads. The problem sets we get are hell and my final exam is composed of molecular gibberish which I have to interpret down to enzyme level interactions.
Here's a sample picture of one of the figures in my exam that had NO NAME and only showed chemical bonds.
...a beauty right?
Hehe, that's it for now. hope this helps you get to know me more.
As you can see from my posts, life revolves around my school.
I'm sad to admit that my first thought after seeing that chemical bond was a penis. I blame the clopfic I just read.
But I digress, hope you pull a perfect thesis pitch and that you ace your academic works, and may heaven help you in the unpaid work that is school.
