QUIZ: Hello. Miss Ingrid Nilson is a very special acquaintance of my good friend Maud Pie, and her sisters. She recently won the British Columbia Pole Fitness Championship (which I believe took place in Vanhoover, though I everyone I speak to about this mispronounces it). On the twenty-third of July Miss Nilson will compete in the National Championship.
Pole Fitness is referred to colloquially as pole dancing, and under this name it apparently has some negative connotations. I am uncertain just what these negatives are, as whenever I ask about this I am told "Never mind, Quiz," and the pony I am asking walks away laughing at me. Bother. But I digress. Whatever this unsavory business entails the Pole Fitness Championship has nothing to do with that. This is an athletic and artistic competition with amazingly skilled practitioners.
Miss Nilson and here friend Ange Gleeson wish to create a documentary about this event. Hopefully, it will erase some of the negative ideas associated with "pole dancing" (whatever that is) and help pole fitness to be taken seriously as an art and a sport. This will not stop my friends from laughing at me, as they find something new that I am ignorant of on a daily basis. But I digress.

Hi, Quiz. Thanks for posting this information about Ingrid Nilson. Another friend of mine, Azure129, also sent out a blog with information about this event with a link to a video that Ingrid made about the contest and a request to assist in funding for the production of a video on pole dancing as an athletic event. I am going to post a blog on this my self to spread to the word to my other friends here on FimFiction. I will try to send the link if possible. I'm not a very tech savvy pony, I'm afraid. I am going to support Ms. Nilson's efforts and wish her best of luck, though! That's what we do here, right?!

By the way, pole dancing is associated with a more, er, um....adult pony form of entertainment know as the strip club. I have been once or twice in the past and the dancing is by far the most entertaining part of the show. It is meant to be erotic in nature but I have found it to be very a graceful and stunning performance due to the shear strength and talent required to perform this type of dance properly. To me, it is as beautiful as ballet. Just my thoughts, your mileage my vary.
