Dark Souls 3 Crossover Coming Soon, and "A Measure of History" Update · 3:56am Jul 10th, 2016
Hey all, at least those who might still read my blogs.
So, just a quick update on what's going on with me. Some of you reading "A Measure of History" might have noticed a small lull in the updates.
It's fine. It's completely normal. I'm still writing it but, issue is, I've hit a small little roadblock. Some might call it Writer's Block, but it hasn't gotten to that extent yet.
Short story is, there's a certain portion of the story that I can't quite seem to get right. It's one of the lessons between Twilight and James, and I'm trying to get it to be as perfect as it can be, without sacrificing structural or narrative integrity.
I'm probably going to release what I have so far, which is only a couple of scenes. Originally, I was planning for the chapter to be around 6--7,000 or so words, but this small update will likely be under 3,000. Maybe. I'll see what I can do.
But... going back to what this blog was meant to be about...
DARK SOULS CROSSOVER.
Yeah. I've finally got a good plot planned out for a Dark Souls 3 crossover, and it's been in the works. A little side story, you might call it, to "A Measure of History," though it won't receive any less attention. So, expect the first chapter to be published within the next month.
That's about it. I'll see you guys next time.
Praise the sun!
Should be intresting.
Could you refrence simlar games within it? Like Darkest Dungeon or Wathammer? ore favor for the nerd audience...
4082185 I might consider doing that. Obviously, there are going to be references to the Soulsborne series as a whole, but I like making references to other media. As long as it ain't forced and actually meshes well with the story, I'm up for it.
4082198 Okay, so I will tell you my WHOLE opinion as you are here. Refrencing the whole industry is a great and fun thing on which MLP and Bronydom stand.
I don't like crossovers as in you mesh the two worlds as alternate dimensions adn have characters from one venture into another and vice versa. It creates out-of-place situations I DESPIZE! But I won't linch you for doing this. What I would presonally want to see however is re-enacting a source material by ponies and the alternations made through this, like backpack becomes a saddle and evryone just stops using swords because horses need long handles to operate weapons, so pikes, fighting claws and wing-mounted blades become the new meta.
I am not a big fan of japanesse games because they don't really speak to me and they are part of the anime culture I HATE becuase of enslaving people into weaboo whordes. Yet I liked some of them, like RE4, so not mindless odium. Dark Souls has not much of that, so no worries. I'll propably not notice weab refrences, so chill.
And you have to include a witcher pony. Just for me.
4082211 Well, I'm sorry to say, but this crossover is of the former variety. Character from Dark Souls 3 finds himself in Equestria. Hope you still read it, though!
I'm not very much into anime or "weaboo" things, ain't really my thing. But Dark Souls, I am a fan of, obviously enough.
4092646 Dark Souls doesn't have much japan stuff if you don't count in the mechanics feeling. Or it's just me see things...
