Hey fans out there (assuming I still have any) how're ya'all doing?
I'm well, myself. Been working hard on a couple original projects and will hopefully have the publishable draft of my novel by Christmas. That's the goal at any rate. In what down time I have, I've also been trying to get caught up on MLP, so far I'm still working my way through the latest season on Netflix, season 5 i think? Someone can correct me on that.
But there's a thing, I MISS fanfiction. Who knew, right?
I never thought I'd say that after venturing so far into original work, but there's just something about fanfiction that's, I don't know, fun. Just something about it, whether it's the Teen Titans stories I have over at FFnet or the MLP story I have here and on FFnet. What kind of grabbed me back towards this was that my Teen Titans stories are still getting reviews and favorites even though the oldest one was written in 2013 or 2012. So here I am, thinking about doing a new story...
If I'm being honest I actually had the idea for this story a year or so ago and wrote down a summary of it, saved it to onedrive, then kept working on my novel. Now, I'm finishing up the 3rd draft of the novel, and have started looking over all the different MLP story ideas I've had in that time and written down, and this one stood out.
It's a Rom/Com. Rather silly one actually. Pairing up Rarity, and Gizmo. Yes, Gizmo Poindexter, the skinny unattractive nerd that Rarity conned some vegetables (I don't remember what kind) from back in season 1. It's a story about how he has been silently in love with her for these five years or so, and when he finally has a chance to approach her in that manner, with advice from Rainbow Dash and Applejack, he makes a fool of himself instead.
Embarrassed and ashamed, he runs to his home, having the idea later that night to visit Zecora in Everfree...she provides him with a potion that makes him more confident and more physically attractive (Like a normal pony instead what he currently is) but only for a full phase of the moon, which is just under thirty days. So that's how long he has to make Rarity fall in love with him.
Shenanigans ensue.
Anyone interested?
It's good to see you back. As for the story it sounds like an intriguing idea. It'll be interesting to see what happens when you flex your creative muscles again! Both for you, and if you decide to share, for us.
