I love music all different kinds of it, but there is a difference between good music and just noise by an untalented singer.
I grew up in with a family that brought me up with the good 1970s-1980s music and plus some music from the sixties.
To be honest I can't tell the difference between singers today because its all the same crap being sung about. 
Take for example Rhianna and Beyoncé for example, they both sound the same and they do the same or almost the same genre of music.

Its completely stupid because who in their right mind wants to get drunk on a plane.
I know that there wasn't some songs in the span I grew up in that were great. They still had better meaning then songs like "Seven Years."
Rob Zombie's music even has better meaning then almost every song today.(A mild exception for me is dubstep.) In Rob Zombies hit song "Dragula." It literally said "He'll never die." and being notified on by his updates he still releases songs still at the possible age of sixty.
Remember that this just an opinion based on the fact that this "New" music isn't music. 
The basic concept of any music from 2000-now is based on sex, drugs, crime, running away from cops, or something morally wrong, and making it sound right. As I stated I love music, and I do enjoy some new music, like Nickelback, Skillet, Skrillex, some rap, and some Maroon 5. 
The point of this is that music completely lost meaning to what it should be about. 
I don't know if all this was necessary to prove my point though. Have a good day all of you.
