    DA1 Update! - A Decision

    Hello All,

Time has passed, and I have reached a decision. Thank you all for your patience, comments, and support.

Starting now, DA1 will be placed on a short, temporary hiatus while Part 1 is being reworked.
I do not expect the hiatus to last very long.

Welcome to the Archives! [OOC] · 11:13pm Jun 12th, 2016

[OOC]

Hello, All!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for visiting and to tell you a little about David's Archivist, David, and the works that will be presented here.

About David's Archivist:
First of all, David's Archivist is an RP character! This will probably be one of the only OOC interactions you will see, but fear not; there is a real, live person behind the pony. And while I don't really consider myself the Archivist, that may become my ponysona in the future.

Also, David's Archivist (the character) is not the author of these works. If you wish to talk regarding a title's composition, errors, themes, etc., please send a PM, as while in-character, DA will most likely 'forward your comments to the author' but may not respond to them directly. I do appreciate all comments, however.

Don’t let that discourage you from chatting with David’s Archivist, though; that pony is waiting to hear from you!

About David Marshall:
David Marshall is the main character of the Archives (as if you couldn’t tell). He’s human, but please don’t hold that against him, it’s not his fault!

The first major work isn’t written by him, and he hasn’t done much writing yet, but he will find his voice sooner or later.

Most importantly, I am not David. I don't know any Davids and have met few Marshalls (and none as a surname). David Marshall is a concept to me. What we do have in common is life as a human on Earth.
(Sorry, I just felt it was fair to have that disclaimer.)

Now, a little about the Archives:
Titles in David's Archives (DA) will be written by Equestrians, with fellow Equestrians as their audience.

The first title (DA1) has been pre-written, is quite long and will be updated each week (2ch/week). Companion pieces will also be published alongside it to add extra content and other perspectives to the main story. After the first main story is completely published later this year, sequels (much shorter) will be published as they are written and edited (hopefully). I will also note that I am always looking for active and experienced proofreaders and editors (send me a PM).

Various art will also be added (as time and artists allow) and it will be linked wherever appropriate: in the story, on the profile page, or in blog posts. So far I plan to have commissioned art, recipes from the stories, calligraphy and clothing designs (if I can), but hope to have much more.

On the subject of art…
I am always looking for art to enhance the Archives. Since I do not have enough funding for all the commissions I want to request, I do wholeheartedly encourage fanart of any kind. If you would like to lend your artistic interpretation for anything in the archives, I would love to read, see, hear or cook it (smell, taste, and touch might be a bit difficult, but I’m willing to try).

That's all for now, thank you again for dropping by.
I hope you have a good time whenever you visit.
Please look forward to the stories and future posts from the Archivist and let “us” know if there is something from the Archives that you would like to see more of.
