Smaug the Golden

All is not lost; the unconquerable will, and study of revenge, immortal hate, and the courage never to submit or yield: and what else is not to be overcome?

A Call for Assistance · 11:02pm Jun 9th, 2016

Aileron. I've talked about it for the past year or so in the occasional blogpost, aye? For better or for worst, it's going to hit Fimfic sometime this summer. I'm currently working with an artist regarding cover art, I've been working through editing stages and fixing scenes that had to change back when I removed a major plotpoint, but it's getting there.

Also, before I go any further, Sweetstrokes did a redux of the Stella avatar he did for me, hence why that looks different. Anyway, moving on, if you aren't interested at all in Aileron or my recent projects, feel free to stop now. But it's almost there, I'm looking for some assistance, and I'd love it if you'd be willing to read on.

Aileron. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, massive sailing adventure revolving around griffons. Lots of swashbuckling, plenty of worldbuilding, and a cast of characters that probably outnumbers all the others I've got. Takes place two centuries or so after Luna's been banished, just after Grover found the Idol of Boreas. Basically, the Idol was part of a much larger haul- and Grover only brought back that one part. When a group of pirates find out about it, you bet there's a race for it.

The story's gone through several revisions since I originally started just after the Lost Treasure of Griffonstone aired, to give you an idea as to how long it's been brewing. But I think I've got it to a point where I'm happy with the earlier portions, so I'm looking for people willing to give feedback. Not really in one particular area, I just would appreciate some feedback for glaring areas that my hubris mind has glazed over.

If you're interested, please comment below or send me a PM, I'll happily provide a link. I know that there are only so many hours in a day, and that we all have prior commitments. I get that. But it would mean the world to me if you guys would be willing to help out. I'm perfectly happy to take a look at your work as well, if you'd prefer a quid pro quo type deal or just need someone to provide a set of eyes (for clarification, I mean that I'm perfectly happy to do it if you don't take a look, but in either case I'm pretty dang slow), whether it be writing, art, music or whatever.
