As I mentioned in the author's notes for the latest The Alchemist and the Mirror chapter, I've been distracted by a number of things in life. Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War's Dark Crusade expansion is chief among the reasons why I haven't been writing over the last week [it was Borderlands 2, the week before]. I've been really enjoying the campaign, even if I cheated [pretty much just gave myself a large quantity of planetary requisition to help in the long run through hex editing my save] the first few missions to get a better feel for the game [and knock out the Necrons while I was ahead].
As the blog title probably gave away, I've been playing as the Tau, and though a few encounters have really given me a hard time, I'm powering through it. In fact, the only two that really gave me much trouble was my first encounter with Chaos, the Necron stronghold, and that one location that gives you the forward operating base, occupied by the Orks. Deciding which faction I should take down now that I have the spaceport. Imperial Guard and Necrons are dead, and the Orks and Chaos are the only one who've really been encroaching on my turf. Well, except for that last incursion, which was the Eldar. Hmmm...
Oddly enough, even though I've heard it's not as great as the previous expansions, I kinda DO want to get Soulstorm.
Get soulstorm, its worth it to pick up
just fair warning,if your not fighting as them: the final/main Sisters of Battle mission is a !#/! $! Frustration, nearly made me ragequit several times
