New Chapter, Tags Changed · 6:43am May 14th, 2016
Hey! I assume if you care about new chapters for Senior Year you're following it and saw, but in case you're not for some reason, I finally finished one! About halfway done now.
Also, I've changed the tags on the story. It's funny, I planned the thing out much more extensively than Second Floor Club, but I still feel like I messed up the tags. Part of it, of course, is that there's no "Clop" tag, so I picked "Romance" because it seems like all the stories that are about lots of sex have that tag. But, well, as you've probably noticed, thus far we're firmly in "Friends With Benefits" territory. No one's talking about love or anything, they're just really enjoying themselves. So I removed "Romance" and replaced it with "Slice of Life". Still don't think it's perfect, but it seems better.
I also replaced "Dark" with "Comedy". It's quite the change in some way, but it's more a change in how I'm planning to portray some of the later sections. For now it certainly isn't earning the "Dark" tag, and based on other stories that get it, I'm not sure it ever will. I'll add it back in if it needs it. As for "Comedy", I don't think it's laugh-out-loud funny often, so maybe the tag's wrong. But it's certainly got bits that made me chuckle while writing them ("what happens in Pinkie, stays in Pinkie" for example) and I have a few funny/absurd scenes planned, so hopefully it's not too far off.
I find FIMFiction's tags really weird, in case you haven't noticed. Feedback on their use is certainly welcome.
Admittedly, the Dark tag had me worried, given past experiences with it before. Here's hoping it never really needs it.
Slice of Life seems a better fit, yes. Sexy life, but there it is.
