How did you discover MLP? · 5:45am May 7th, 2016
Just curious as to how everypony started watching MLP. I used to be that person that thought it was a dumb show but I wouldn't call the fans names like gay or anything mean but I did think it was weird. Well one day I was watching Death battles on Youtube and saw Dashie beat up Starscream so I watched the first episode (then the second of course) and next thing I know I'm all caught up and collecting ponies.
i don't remember actually i just watch the first episode and i was hooked
I was introduced by my Best Friend tot he characters but didn't watch the show till much later since I had no TV in my household. Needless to say I watched the episodes and fell in love with it, though mostly Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo. (It was the Pinkie Pie and Applejack episode where they find out they are related that was the first one I watched... Then the Scoots and Dash when they go camping.)
Almost same as you! At the high school I attend, there are a few bronies. My one friend sent me a link to Cupcakes and Rainbow Factory, which made me wonder why people were interested in it. I then decided to watch the show! This was maybe the first and second week of August 2015. I watched the premiere of Season 5, then the rest of season 5, then seasons 1-4 in about two weeks. That's where I got my start!
Watching HotDiggedyDemon's PONY.MOV
I liked the parody, so what's wrong liking the show? Then I found this website and read a few stories. My favorite was Despondence by Plotbuster (check it out, totally worth reading, sadly Plotbuster hasn't decided to continue)
I also asked BombShelter what was his first episode he watched, which was Read it and Weep. So I watched it. It seemed wrong at first, but turns out MLP:FiM wasn't all that bad. It was pretty much like all other cartoons/animations like Adventure Time, Regular Show, etc.
Well, I'm screwed
3939224 My friend refuses to watch it cause the target audience is girls

Well, I've got kind of a funny story, when I first watched it, I didn't really care that much for it, it was better than I expected sure, but I couldn't get into it.
Then late last year I got into Fallout, and a few months ago I stumbled across a mention of KKat's fanfic Fallout: Equestria on TVTropes, I wasn't quite sure what to think of the idea at first since, its My Little Pony, how dark and thought provoking could it be compared to the real thing?
By Celestia was I wrong, I started reading the fanfic (well, listening to it), and I got hooked. Then I decided that I should watch the actual show, and I actually got into it this time, falling in love with the characters and wanting to see more.
