Farewell to a Friend; Starting Over · 10:49pm May 1st, 2016

So, as many of you may already know, Twidashforever has left this site.

Thankfully, he isn't going to be the next TAW, and left his unfinished stories for a good friend of his to continue. But the sad part is, he left, and will most likely not be returning.

It is always sad to see someone go, especially someone so talented as him. As I said in a final message to him, "I wouldn't be surprised if 20 years from now, I was reading a bestseller written by you." And I wasn't lying. He had an amazing talent. One that he so passionately delivered to us in ways many aspiring writers such as myself could only dream of. He will be greatly missed.

Now, he said that he was also leaving the fandom. And, honesty... I don't believe him. You see, you can't leavea fandom. You can no longer watch or like the show, but you will have enjoyed it. And you will always be a fan of what you enjoyed. So, while he's not a fan of MLP as it is today, he will always be a fan of the MLP that started back in 2010. That thought is what helps me though the troubles I'm facing now, and brings me to the main point of this blog.

I, as you know, have been having my own set of trouble with the show lately. I turned it into a chore, and that completely ruined my enjoyment of it. However, after my regrettably long hiatus, I have come back with a plan to do something good. Really good.

I am starting over - from scratch.

Now, I'm not going to be cancelling my stories or anything, all of them (sans one in particular), will be finished. What I mean by starting over is that I will have a new perspective on writing. I will head into my future plans and stories with this new mindset, in the hopes of using it for the better, and improving.

Too many people leave unexpectedly like this, and I don't want to be one of them. So, you know what? I won't be one of them. I will continue until I drop, and only after everything I promised you is finished, will I raise my arms in surrender and fall back. But until then, my friends...
