CMC episodes never quite feel the same as the Mane Six episodes, but I found myself enjoying this one quite a bit. We’ve certainly all been wondering what exactly they would do now, and I have to say I didn’t quite expect it to unfold like this.
The progression of the plot was unusual though, and even though it all built up to the “try new things to find new ponies” solution, for a while I wasn’t sure where things were going. But the bits with Bulk Biceps and trying stuff out weren’t just cute, but necessary in eliminating other kinds of solutions, even if they were a bit diverting. Again, CMC episodes are just different.
I still think they should start a letter-writing campaign, getting messages markless foals across Equestria.
Apple Bloom’s song was great. I always feel bad liking the songs that have more of a predictable pop-tune-hit kind of melody to them, but the tone of the song really helps it stand out. The actress performing it really impressed me as well. Some of those runs were not easy to do in character voice, I imagine.
