    Just sharing something really bad.

It has recently (as in today) come to my attention that somebody here with the screen name of Holly is considering suicide. It definitely saddens me when things get so bad for somebody that they decide to end it all. Here is a copy and past of the suicide blog from Holly.

This will be my final blog post, if you couldn’t guess by the title.

    Just sharing some ideas

Hello there. Now, I have a few ideas for stories that I will share even though I don't have the time and energy to write them myself. Maybe somebody who DOES have the time and energy to write them might like these ideas enough to adopt them.

Just sharing some ideas · 9:01pm Mar 29th, 2016

Hello there. Now, I have a few ideas for stories that I will share even though I don't have the time and energy to write them myself. Maybe somebody who DOES have the time and energy to write them might like these ideas enough to adopt them.

First few ideas are "Displaced Adoption Multiverse" ideas (inspired by the works of Tatsurou [sp?], but NOT a part of that author's VERY similarly themed series):

The Flim Flam Brothers raised by the Disney version of Aladdin (trying to think of somebody roguish enough to keep the Flim Flams' interest, but moral enough to be a semi-good influence on them).

Big Mac raised by the Mario Brothers (author's choice which one is the father and which one is the uncle)

Discord raised by Dexter Douglas/Freakazoid (set years after the end of Freakazoid's series, where Dexter is already an adult AND college graduate [again, trying to think of somebody zany enough to be a good match for Discord, but moral enough to be a semi-good influence])

Prince Blueblood raised by Captain Jack Sparrow

Lightning Dust raised by Sonic the Hedgehog

***************

The next idea is ALSO inspired by some of Tatsurou's work (that particular author has A LOT of REALLY good stories):

"My Little Justice League": Loosely based on "My Little Titan", but modified in the following ways (beyond the fact the Justice League are the transferred DC heroes instead of the Teen Titans):

1. The Justice Leaguers do NOT know ANYTHING about the MLP series, none of them ever seeing so much as a single episode (which means the Justice Leaguers act how THEY would act normally rather than how the individuals they are currently in the bodies of would act).

2. Celestia and Luna also get the minds of Justice Leaguers transferred into their bodies (specifically, Superman ends up in Celestia's body [which means "Celestia" would be considerably more "hooves on" concerning major villains and monsters] and the Martian Manhunter ends up in Luna's [author's choice concerning the remaining switches])

3. The minds of the Mane Six, Spike, Celestia and Luna end up in the bodies of nine of the Justice League heroes (Superman, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash [Barry Allen], Green Lantern [Hal Jordan], Aquaman, Black Canary and one other Justice Leaguer of the author's choice) and have to get used to their borrowed bodies.

4. None of the heroes' usual abilities (from either side) are carried over from the transfer (with the exception of Batman, whose abilities are based on his memories and CAN be regained through sufficient training), leaving them with only the abilities contained in the borrowed bodies.

5. The point of the switch on the Equestrian side is actually at the Season TWO opener rather than the Season ONE.

and 6. Discord (who is actually the alter-ego Mxyzptlk uses on Equestria in this universe) performed the switch entirely as a cruel joke (of course, it would be entirely the author's choice if the switch lasts only until the end of the two-part season opener or end up being permanent).

*********

This one is inspired by a new, but quite good, story by SvenBrojn called "Hero Souls: Awakenings"; the start-up story in the "Reincarnation-verse", but is NOT actually part of that series:

One night, Trixie ends up discovering she has the reincarnated soul of a hero who is just as flamboyant and egotistical as her: Drake Mallard/Darkwing Duck

Not much thought of beyond that.

**********

This one isn't inspired by any MLP fanworks per say (though it's possible somebody else had a very similar idea), but DOES draw inspiration from a certain classic 1970s TV show:

An Alternate Universe story where Twilight and Spike co-run a magical resort that allows the guests to live out their deepest wishes.

*********

Another AU story idea drawing inspiration from 1970s television:

"The Sixty-Six Million Bit Mare": During the final battle with Nightmare Moon, Twilight ends up getting horrifically injured, to the point where all four of her legs, both of her eyes and both of her ears have to be replaced by mechanical parts. On one hoof, she now has super-equine strength, speed, eyesight and hearing. On the other hoof, she will need her new friends to help her learn to control her new bionic abilities as well as to learn about friendship in general.

*********

This one is an alternate universe based on 1960s television (most notably the television version of "the Wild, Wild West"):

Twilight and Rainbow are partners in a top secret organization dedicated to protecting Equestria in a clandestine manner. In addition to being a powerful magic user, Twilight is a gifted inventor AND a mistress of disguise. Rainbow, of course, is far more of a mare of action. Together, they travel along on an insanely well-equipped express train and protect Equestria from a wide variety of menaces - ranging from outlaws with unusual equipment to megalomaniacal geniuses all the way to mad gods.

****************

Here is a story based on a little known Science Fiction series starring fully anthropomorphic versions of the MLP characters:

"Foal's Company": Following a major diplomatic snafu, Twilight Sparkle gets into big trouble with the Federation. However, there are three reasons they can't just kick her out:

1. She owns and operates the company that provides the Federation with the majority of their best weaponry.

2. She is the personal student/surrogate daughter of one of the Federation's most valuable allies.

and 3. Her big brother is one of the Federation's most highly decorated officers.

So, instead, they punish Twilight by sending her and her most trusted assistant/surrogate little brother Spike to a backwater planet to command the biggest misfits the Federation can find (pretty much the rest of the Mane Six, plus Trixie, Gilda and the author's choice of secondary characters).

However, Twilight's talent with organization allows her to, after a fashion, whip the misfits (mostly) into shape and turn them into the ultimate "impossible mission" team.

******************

Plus, an AU based on Silver Age DC Comics and a certain CW TV series:

A year before Nightmare Moon returns, Twilight is working on a science project only to get caught in a freak accident involving a lightning storm and the chemicals she was working on. After spending nine months in a coma, Twilight wakes up and gradually comes to realize she has super-equine speed (which, among other things, is a HUGE help in catching up on the nine months of missed assignments that piled up while she was in her coma). Over the next three months, Princesses Celestia and Cadance, Spike and Shining Armor all help Twilight learn to master her newfound speed and use it responsibly. When Nightmare Moon returns, however, Twilight might need WAY more than speed to save the day.

**********

Another AU story based on DC Comics:

In this universe, Sunset Shimmer was born more than 1000 years sooner than in canon and ended up becoming the protégé`/champion of Starswirl the Bearded. Unfortunately, the power Starswirl trusted Sunset with ended up corrupting her and Starswirl was forced to banish her to a prison dimension. Following that, Starswirl realized he needed to be much more careful who he trusted the power to, so he set up a series of tests to find a pony who had the wisdom, courage, integrity and compassion needed to wield the power responsibly and become his next champion. For 1000 years, no one was able to pass his tests, but Sunset (or rather BLACK Sunset as she is now called) is coming very close to figuring out a way to escape from the prison dimension she was sent to. Finally, though, it is starting to look like there might be a pony capable of passing Starswirl's tests and becoming his new champion (and, no, I do not know who that might be; I plan on leaving THAT to the author).

*******

An AU based on Marvel Comics (author's choice if they wish to set this in the same continuity as any other Marvel-based AUs)

"The Terrific Two": At a time point of the author's choosing, Twilight (author's choice if she's an alicorn or still a unicorn in this story's setting) and Spike are test-flying an experimental space rocket and end up getting bombarded with cosmic energy which ends up transforming both of them. Twilight gains super-stretching powers as well as a 500 I.Q. point intelligence boost, plus the ability to turn herself and other living beings and objects temporarily invisible and a considerable augmentation on her pre-existing telekinesis (particularly in the field of force field generation. Spike is transformed into a seven-foot, extremely muscular version of himself (but with no visible decrease in speed, agility or intelligence) with his pre-existing proportionate strength, durability and flame breath amplified a hundredfold as well as an added power to generate and control fire aside from his breath within a limited, but respectable, distance with his mind. Now, the duo must master their new abilities, use them responsibly and explore the unknown as the Terrific Two.

**************

This is a possible Homage/Affectionate Parody of "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory", dedicated respectfully to the memory of Gene Wilder.

Twenty years in a possible future, an older and wiser (but still just zany enough to be entertaining) Pinkie Pie is the owner of a wildly successful candy company. One day, she opens the doors to the company's main headquarters to five lucky foals; each accompanied by a single adult of the foal's choice (author's choice if the adults are grown-up versions of canon child characters, OCs or a combination of the two [i.e. some are canon child characters all grown up, some are OCs]); for a guided tour.

******************

This is an as yet-untitled ship-fic idea I've had in my head for a while, but don't have the time or energy to do myself:

In this alternate universe, Sunburst and Starlight BOTH get their cutie marks at the exact same time and both end up going to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. Over the years, the two best friends end up gradually getting even closer.

Unfortunately, that's all I have thought up for the time being, but maybe somebody else can think of some stuff to make it work.

*******************

"Big Brother Best Bodyguard"

In this alternate universe, Shining Armor ends up becoming his little sister's bodyguard a couple of years before Nightmare Moon's return and actually arrives in Ponyville at the same time as Twilight and Spike. Oh, and in this universe, Cadance ended up falling for and marrying Flash Sentry, which would free Shining up for any ship the author wishes to do (with the exception of Twilight; no disrespect to those who DO like that stuff, but I just have to respectfully draw the line at incest).

Oh, and in this universe, Shining is the bearer of the Element of Loyalty instead of Rainbow Dash (Nightmare Moon blasts Rainbow so hard during her first strike in Ponyville that it ends up sending Rainbow flying back too far to return until an hour AFTER Nightmare Moon has already been defeated), but all five of the rest of the Mane Six (including Twilight) still retain THEIR canon elements.

***********
"Mirror Universe Adventure Team-Ups"
This is based on the Mirror Universe from the IDW Comics as well as on DC Comics' "the Brave and the Bold" series (it helps if you think of it as more of an adventure-oriented version of the "Friends Forever" comic book series starring the characters from the Mirror Universe):

This is a series of team-ups of various Mirror Universe heroes (for example, Duchess Chrysalis and Captain Goodguy teaming up to protect the former's hive from the traitorous "King" Thorax [who, in the Mirror Universe, is a cunning but overly cruel and ambitious gangster], and Mirror Derpy/Muffins teaming up with either Princess Trixie, Mirror Sunset, Mirror Maud or Mirror Gilda [author's choice which one of the four] to thwart the evil schemes of Zecora [who, in the Mirror Universe, really IS the evil enchantress that most of the ponies in the canon Ponyville only thought THEIR version was], plus pretty much anything else the author can think of).

**************

"My Little Non-Pony" (I admit I might have gotten the title idea from one of Hopeful Ink Hoof's blog titles)

In this Alternate Universe, ALL of the Element Bearers are sentient beings that are NOT equines.

For example:

Spike (in this universe, he was hatched and raised by somebody OTHER than a pony, but still retains his mostly good nature and his loyalty): Bearer of the Element of Loyalty.

Thorax (in this universe, he actually left Chrysalis's hive MANY years before her attempted invasion and learned he can get FAR more love by earning it and doing A LOT of good deeds): Bearer of the Element of Friendship/Magic

Discord (in this universe, his shenanigans were toned down enough to not cause any lasting physical or mental harm to his targets and his games were designed to always leave his players with a chance to win [I admit, I got the idea from Tatsurou's "Order and Chaos" story], so there was never a need to turn him into stone in the first place): Bearer of the Element of Laughter

Iron Will: Bearer of the Element of Honesty

Gabrielle "Gabby" Griffon: Bearer of either the Element of Kindness or the Element of Generosity (the author can decide which one)

Plus one other non-equine of the author's choice as the remaining Element.

Also, either Sombra, Tirek or the Windigos will be the lead-off villain in this series (depending on the author's choice)

******************

Of course, anybody who likes one or more of these ideas can adopt them and I profusely apologize to anybody who DOESN'T like ANY of the ideas.

What TV show is Foal's Company based on?

It's a sci-fi comedy-adventure novel series called Phule's Company, actually. Television Tropes and Idioms and Wikipedia could tell you more about that particular series than I can, though.

3843339 Thanks for the answer, also I didn't know you knew about TV Tropes.

3845160 Yeah. Well, now you DO know. :-D And you are quite welcome by the way. :-D
