[Metacritic Monday] Twilight Princess · 5:14pm Mar 27th, 2016

BACK-TO-BACK METACRITIC MONDAYS!!! A new one's coming out tomorrow as well!

Hello everyone! My name is SuperKamek and welcome back to another episode of "Metacritic Monday", where I bitch and complain about people who bitch and complain. It seems these days school and life really take a toll on me; hell, I can't even bring myself to write a new Metacritic Monday! I know I shouldn't be using that excuse all the time, but there is really no other explanation for it. Nonetheless, excuses won't cut a week without the show, so I'll be having two episodes this week to compensate.

Please, please, PLEASE take note that I will not be ripping apart reviews that are actually legit. If someone dislikes a game for a reason, I'm all okay with that. What I'm NOT okay with is false information, like those stupid "0/10" reviews you find sometimes. Also take note that this is for entertainment and comedy purposes only, so I will be exaggerating a few points I make. So, without further ado, let's delve into Metacritic Monday!

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is my favorite LoZ game of all time. IF I mentioned before that Link Between Worlds was my favorite game, I'm not lying either. Both are spectacular experiences, and each have their flaws and weaknesses. However, if I was given a choice, I would choose Twilight Princess over Link Between Worlds, simply because of the dark and actually very scary subjects this game covers.

Then there's this douche. So, get your Master Sword and strangely attractive floating imp woman from another dimension filled with shadow and darkness, because we're going right into this episode! Be very afraid.

Sorry guys I'm not impressed. I come from the PC world and bought the Wii because of the innovative controls. Wii sports is a blast and I have had a lot of fun with it. Zelda seems like an outdated, poorly designed game with a somewhat interesting storyline. The controls are "BAD", the character keeps running into things and getting stuck both in Link and Wolf mode. Wolf mode especially seems to be really touchy... fighting mobs seems to be difficult as well. You can't use the nunchuk to turn to the enemy (too slow/awkward), you have to constantly target them. There are some things I like about the game, e.g., fishing but yeeesh... when does this actually get fun? I'd take WoW, Oblivion or some modern RPG any day.

Yeah, okay.

Sorry guys I'm not impressed.

Can't please everyone, right?

I come from the PC world

Wow. Zero seconds in and already I hate this man. That's a new record! No, I'm not talking about the PC gamer part; if you like PC games, more power to you. I'm talking about the fact he uses this PRECIOUS info to support his argument.

Yeah, no, I don't see a problem with that!

and bought the Wii because of the innovative controls.

Motion controls were good and all but... uh...

...innovative isn't the word I'd use to describe them.

Wii sports is a blast and I have had a lot of fun with it.

Zelda seems like an outdated, poorly designed game

Meanwhile, back in reality:

(Zelda U for HYPE!!!)

with a somewhat interesting storyline.

He must've only played the first Zelda game.

The controls are "BAD"

Wh-

Why are you quoting the word "bad"? Was that sarcasm? Was that a joke?

the character keeps running into things

...no, I think that's just your stupidity, sweetheart.

and getting stuck both in Link and Wolf mode.

I...

I don't have anything to say on that. :applejackunsure:

Wolf mode especially seems to be really touchy...

Well then~

If Link wanted me to touch him, he should have just said so~ :raritywink:

fighting mobs

I didn't know Twilight Princess was actually a Minecraft mod!

I'VE BEEN LIED TO MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!

seems to be difficult as well.

Yes, it SEEMS like it, but it's not actually.

Did you even fucking PLAY the game?! Using the word "Seems" means you're unsure of it, so... WTF, man?!

You can't use the nunchuk to turn to the enemy

I-I... I know. That's not actually a feature of the game. Also, why specifically the Nunchuk? Did you play the game or not?!

(too slow/awkward)

But you just said you can't-

...fuck it, I'm done.

you have to constantly target them.

Welcome to 2000, when fucking Z-targeting was invented. Who's the outdated one now, bitch?

There are some things I like about the game

e.g., fishing

Of all of the adventuring, all of the fighting, and all of the puzzle-solving, it's the fucking FISHING you're interested in?

Okay, yeah, now I really do give up. :ajbemused:

but yeeesh... when does this actually get fun?

Maybe if you'd...

I dunno...

STOP FUCKING FISHING!!!!!

I'd take WoW, Oblivion or some modern RPG any day.

And we circle around and go right on back to the PC gamer part. Fan-fucking-tastic. Well, you were an absolute waste of my time and life, good sir! So you go play your "Modern RPGs" and see how good those go out for you. I bet you'll be playing them for hours on end.

Oh wait, no you won't!

Because Skyrim is out, and no one gives ten flying fucks about WoW anymore!!!!!

God... Jeez... :facehoof:

Sorry, that got a little real at the end there... :twilightblush:

Anyways, that concludes today's Metacritic Monday! Did you enjoy the show? If so, leave a comment down below! Also, what are your thoughts on Twilight Princess? Like it? Hate it? Really you choice, I won't blame you if you hate it. TP did have it's problems, but overall it was a VERY good game. Something someone absolutely GLUED to a computer screen would have ZERO understanding of.

Sorry, PC gamers. I didn't mean to offend you. :twilightsheepish:

it's been edited to remove the gif, my apologies.
Also, you note my existence! I'm truly honored  (I really am btw, no sarcasm:twilightsmile:)

3830656
Wait, I've always noted your existence. :rainbowhuh:

3830664
I know you've always replied to my comments, I just didn't think you noticed or remembered that it was me who made those comments, I'm pretty unmemorable most of the time:rainbowderp:

3830666
Buddy, relax; I know all of my followers.
You were probably either drunk or just confused. :rainbowlaugh:

3830669
Awesome:twilightsmile:
And going back on topic, Twilight Princess remains my favorite in the series, if only for the sheer awesomeness that is Midna

At first, I thought it said Princess Twilight, and was then confused about the Zelda pic. I'm a fucking idiot. :derpytongue2:
Also, according to Youtube, this song is related to Jontron:

By god I hate those kind of PC gamers. Always saying that PC is the best and everything else is horrible. I like PC gaming (hell I would be a major PC gamer if I actually had a good computer) but it's not the greatest thing ever. It has many pros I won't lie but it also has it's con and in some areas the console is better. Everything has it's advantages and disadvantages but don't act like what you like is the best thing on the planet.

Twilight Princess is my all time favorite Zelda game so far. My favorite part was that unlike 99% of the others, Link was actually taught how to use a sword instead of being self-taught, which meant more options in battle. Plus, the hidden skills made not using a shield (my favorite challenge) even MORE fun. Speaking of, it was pretty neat that the Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask is the one to teach you. I just didn't care for the fact that it was mirrored on the Wii.

3831071
Couldn't have said it better. :rainbowdetermined2:

3831828
I dunno, I actually prefer the mirrored version. :applejackunsure:

3831898 Meh, I started on the Gamecube. Besides, I always thought it was cool that Link was left handed like me.:pinkiehappy:
