    A Diamond Birthday to Celebrate

Diamonds, they are often found 'In the Rough'.
They come in many shapes and sizes.
But the most sought after feature is the brilliant fire that shines inside the clarity the finished gem.

The Luck O' the Irish, and a Hungarian Mare

Alchemy in Arabia - Chrome turns Gold! · 10:21pm Mar 26th, 2016

Dateline: Meydan Racecourse, Dubai, UAE.

In a feat of magic worthy of a unicorn , yes even the track announcer called it Alchemy :raritywink:, California Chrome bettered his second place finish last year in the Dubai World Cup with a four length victory over an impressively talented 2016 field, that included two of American Pharoah's shadows from last year's Triple Crown Races; Frosted and Keen Ice. With this win Chrome has broken the $10 million barrier to become the highest winning Thoroughbred of all time. :rainbowwild:

Not bad for a horse whose parents had a total price of $10,500, and whose prospects would have gotten him laughed out of the show ring at a a 2012 yearling sale. :ajsmug:

Happy New Pony Day!

I know, right?

3829332 3829811 I was a little too but, I don't think the target audience would have understood what a 'dam' was. :twistnerd: It would have been nice though. Liked it that Tara Strong did the voice though. But they were credited as Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle though. :twilightoops:
