I hate Caboc...

for feeding me and many others a possible headcanon featuring Sunset Shimmer in the Fo:E universe... I am so tempted to write it out and see how I would imagine it right now but I am so busy with many things it's ridiculous! No more new stories please! In case anyone's wondering what I mean, here's a direct comment from the guy or girl involving this picture below me...

Sunset Shimmer actually did go through the portal to the Equestria Girls universe shortly before the war got intense. In the human world, things took on basically the same path with war rising between America and China (much like the canon Fallout universe). Sunset becomes convinced that the human world needs an all-powerful Princess to rule it, that she should take the Elements of Harmony and use them to become an all-powerful Alicorn in the human world.

So, she waits for the portal to open again, possibly after the bombs fall, and then makes her way through the portal to Equestria to find the Elements... only to find that her home world of Equestria had been destroyed as well.

Her mutation is the result of being exposed to the radiation of the human world (possibly even FEV) that would have eventually ghoulified her, and then she traveled through the portal to get turned into a pony... and got ghoulified again by the magical radiation in Equestria.

Now she wanders the wasteland searching for the EoH, convinced that it would give her the power to rule over and restore both the human world and Equestria.

For bonus points, assume that there is no Vault 150 in Equestria and she's actually wearing a jumpsuit from the human vault she had been sent to... an experimental vault that was either like Vault 12 with everyone being exposed to radiation, or a social experiment like Vault 11 where the inhabitants had to 'sacrifice' one of their own periodically to keep the vault safe (though instead of sending them to their doom, they might just exile them to the outside to 'gather intel' and not let them return to 'avoid contamination').

Either way, Sunset Shimmer survived the horrors of the apocalypse in the human world, only to see that Equestria went down that same path.

Lesse... how would the rest of the EG universe change if it was crossed with Fallout Equestria?

1). Celestia and Luna are basically the Presidents of America. Celestia was president for one term and was popular until disaster struck and the war started in earnest. Celestia was against it, but Luna had a pro-military stance and was elected for two terms in a row.

2). Spoiled Rich is the principle of Canterlot High and has very firm pro-American and anti-Communist beliefs which she enforces in the school. Sunset Shimmer gets power in the school by being friends with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon in a sort of 'cool big sis' way or something and helping enforce Spoiled Rich's ideas in the school. Basically, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Sunset Shimmer, Snips and Snails form a weird clique of enforcing the pro-America anti-Communist ideals and having the Principle's backing. This power lets them run the school.

3). The Humane Five have are just kids instead of becoming members of the government's Ministry's or whatever like in FO:E. Applejack and Rainbow Dash are pro-America and pro-Military with Applejack's brother Big Mac having gone to war and died while Rainbow wants to enlist. Pinkie Pie and Rarity are pro-American but not militant, being more concerned with parties, propaganda, or fashion than anything. Fluttershy is basically an outcast socially due to not liking the war and maybe has an interest in medicine. Human Twilight goes to Crystal Prep and studies technology, possibly cybernetics or robotics. Due to a tragic accident and SCIENCE, dog-Spike gets turned into a Cyberdog and possibly heavily moddified until he has the ability to speak.

4). For extra horror points, Human Twilight basically becomes Dr. Borous. Her work on cybernetic and chemical augmentation in animals gives her great recomendations from Principle Cinch. If the Friendship Games ever take place, they'd probably be named the Patriot or Freedom Games or something and steroid use would not be illegal (due to Fallout games not having a problem with them). As such, Human Twilight would probably have a Mentat addiction (due to constantly using them to get better grades) and alot of the Shadowbolts would be similarly juiced up during the Freedom Games. Needless to say, Crystal Prep usually wins and Cinch gets her "reputation" as running a top-quality school for winners. Sci-Twi gets addicted to both Mentats and other performance enhancing chems before moving on to college with Cinch's reccomendation or even getting a great job at a lab like the Big MT.

With a history of chem abuse to enhance herself, Sci-Twi eventually modifies Spike into a cyberdog (possibly to extend his lifespan) and at some point even turns herself into a Think Tank or Robobrain. Spike lives on as her loyal companion, much like Rex or Gabe. If Spike's lucky, Twilight's lab was one of the first targets from Chinese missiles and Sci-Twi was killed shortly after the bombs fell, letting him grieve over his owner and then move on with his life to find a new owner and people to protect (ala Rex). If he's unlucky, Sci-Twi lives on as a brain-in-a-jar becoming increasingly obsessed with SCIENCE and unable to comprehend her own madness, using him as a guinea pig for her experiments until he's a monstrously deformed and modified cyberdog (ala Gabe).

4). Sunset's human counterpart is the daughter of a petty criminal or gambler in debt to the mob. Due to coincidence and shenanigans, Sunset's human family all decided to skip town shortly before or after Sunset arrived and probably fled the country to Canada or something. Sunset moved into their house, the mob showed up to try and collect on their debt, Sunset beat them up due to living in Equestria where monsters regularly run around kidnapping ponies before the place went to hell, and due to shenanigans she got reward money and owns the house while everyone thinks her human family is dead when they just fled the country. Or maybe they got abducted by the guys who perform science experiments on people and human-Sunset got sent to a secret lab somewhere and turned into a cyborg, lobotomite, super mutant, ghoul, or whatever.

Whatever the case, Sunset has a home address somehow and basically moved into human Sunset's life after she vanished.

5). Much like how the Vault-Tec Rep helped get the Lone Survivor and their family into the vault, only to be abandoned or betrayed by Vault-Tec, Spoiled Rich uses whatever authority she has to somehow ensure Sunset and other "patriotic students" get a place in the Vault. Then, tragedy strikes when the Vault experiment gets underway. If the Vault was designed to be faulty, Spoiled Rich is among the first to die (either when the radiation leaks in through the door, or from the reactor, or from the water). If the Vault is faced with a Sadistic Choice where they have to regularly sacrifice someone, she gets voted out by the other adults for her "bad attitude" and "not having any skills other than being a rich busybody".

If everyone in the Vault dies except Sunset, she probably hacks the overseer terminal to lean about the experiment and declares that she has to save the humans from themselves. If Diamond Tiara and SS are survivors, Sunset would probably consider them too weak to help her out with her plans and leave them in the Vault where they would be safer while she heads out on her own. Snips and Snails might join her if they got kicked out as well (though they could just as easily have died when the bombs fell or hid somewhere and mutated into ghouls or been drafted into the army and somehow ended up as two bumbling members of the Brotherhood of Steel or the Enclave).

6). The Sirens eventually get caught due to increased paranoia due to Communist Mind Control and shipped off to some secret lab somewhere. Studying their powers is what partially leads to developing tech that uses psychic powers, mind control, or subliminal messages. There's no reason to suspect the Sirens know about the portal re-opening every something moons so the existence of portals to other worlds is largely unexplored except by crackpot scientists.
