Creep in this petty place from day to day, to the last syllable of recorded rhyme, etc. etc. etc.
So I've been prompted to start posting blog entries on a semi-regular basis. I'm flattered by this, because it means that people are interested in hearing what i have to say (outside of the stories, i mean). I'm also slightly eager for this because it will give me an outlet to write in; my laptop is currently busted to hell and back, and it's where i do my writing, so i'm kind of out of luck on that front. I can write at my desktop, of course, but not while i'm at work (breaks, lunch and bus rides are where i do most of my writing).
Blog entries should be shorter, while still allowing me to express myself.
Here's the deal: I'm gonna try to update on a semi-regular basis. At the end of each post, I'm going to indicate the next time I update things - normally it should be the next day, but if there are going to be delays, I'll let you know. Also, I might miss deadlines - hopefully, though, that won't happen.
As for what I'm planning on writing, I've broken it down into specifically-labeled categories (should make it easier to tag and index, in case I want to find a previous entry:
- Horsewords about Horsewords: I review pony-related things. Doesn't necessarily have to be stories; could be concepts, bits of dialogue, whatever. Can be done generously (pointing out all the things i like about it), critically (trying to take a whack at being a reviewer) or angrily (doing 90% of all internet comedy, in a nutshell).
Aforethoughts: tossing out snatches of horsewords-related fragments i had planned on writing, but never got around to finishing up and publishing as a story (lost interest, realized the concept didn't work, that sort of thing).
Blurb the Concept: In which I give praise to whatever I'm hung up about on any particular day. Could be a two-second fragment of a song, the color Powder Blue, noodles in peanut sauce, etc.
I'm up for recommendations on either concrete things (e.g. "talk about rain!") or more general things (e.g. can we have an Aforethoughts on friday?)
I'm not sure I can keep my attention on this forever, but I'll try to keep up for a reasonably long period of time.
Next Entry: Tonight.
