Dramatic Reading! · 3:29pm Aug 25th, 2012
Okay, call me Slowpoke since this was posted way back in February, but someone by the name of VozDeSuenos has done a dramatic reading of the first part of Ponies Play D&D!
I really like the direction they took with some of the voices. I'd never imagined Grimstar with a Scottish accent, but it just sort of works, you know? Apparently they were a little drunk while recording this, if the opening spiel is to be believed, but I've always felt that was the best condition in which to enjoy my stories.
I have to admit, It's almost embarrassing for me to listen to this. I feel like I've made some improvements in my writing skills since I wrote the original story in this series, and every awkward sentence structure and over-used adjective makes me wince a little. I guess it's good to see that I'm making progress, at least.
Anyway, go bug them on their Youtube page, and maybe they'll do the rest of the series!
P.S.: Work on Act 4 is progressing fairly well, and now that I have some new assistants at work I should be able to finish it up faster than previous chapters. This will be the last chapter of Part 3, but not the end of the story as a whole. As always, thanks so much to everyone reading my silly little stories. No matter how difficult and frustrating this has been, your comments and encouragement have made it all worth it.
