Kamen Rider: Equestria just went live.
oi. :rainbowderp:
I'm a bit nervous. I want to have a finished story for once, and more importantly I want to succeed for once. I really hate failing. AS a kid, I even tended to not try to avoid looking unintelligent. That's not what I want to be. I want to be a writer, a job that requires a lot of self-motivation and focus. And to do that, I need practice.
Kamen Rider: Equestria started on an unrelated project. I wondered what superpowers each of the Mane Six would have, and I ended up really liking Fluttershy's. It wasn't a Kamen Rider story yet; while it was Kamen Rider themed, she had a magical cloak that she would use to transform into various horror movie monsters. I had been feeling rather restless, and wanted to try actually doing something with my ideas for a change. Fluttershy's stood out to me, and I had started watching Kamen Rider around the same time. So eventually, I brought Fluttershy onto earth and began exploring what the story would be like as an actual show. Since I'm American, I thought it would make sense to set it within the Power Rangers universe. At the moment, that shouldn't have to much to do with anything, though the two will begin to intersect more and more down the road.
I'll be using a more episodic format for this story: each story will be spread out over three or four chapters, all collected in one place for easy viewing. I think it helps feel more like a show. I also intend to incorporate music tracks into the series, and wish to at some point have it illustrated. Since illustrations will cost money, that's a consideration that will go under the 'later' pile.
I really hope I can impress you all with my series. God bless.

Two things.

In your short description, you misspelled "threats."

In your long description, you put in "Story Arch." Now, that might be correct in some format that I don't know, but I have always heard it used as "Story Arc" and never as "Arch."

No problem.

I might actually read the story some time, but I ... have little interest in Kamen Rider. But I do like to keep aware of what my friends are up to.

Then again, I remember almost having a meltdown when I saw a writer I respected having left a comment on one of my stories. I'm not sure if you might have the same reaction.
