Don't let people stop you from using creativity. Some may be bad, some may be dreadful, but that's the thing with creativity. You create ways to make it even better. That's the creative truth.

Caring · 5:26pm Feb 19th, 2016

We just had a school assembly about caring and stuff, and how if you care, people care back. All that jazz. They mentioned opening the door for someone, in which I kinda laugh. I hold the front door for literally EVERYONE at the end of the day, and I get a couple of thank yous. Like, your welcome. I do it to be respectful, and I get jack shit. To be honest, I thought the school would kinda feature me in the presentation when they mentioned opening doors. :ajbemused:

Also, some people tell me to close the bloody door even when I'm being nice. Like they think I'm stupid and doing nothing. :facehoof: But yeah, caring doesn't always give you respect. To me, at least.

Ive had that before, all years of high school and in all irony the ones that thanked me which was few were friends, the others were people i could care less about, they say its a waste of time and i just tell them mind their own business and that's it, or i flip them off and tell them mind their own business. Don't do that one, its like a last resort type thing but any way just tell them to mind their own business they don't have a say on what you do, only you have a say in what you can do.

Fluttershy is sad about that.
:fluttercry:

Trust me i've had that i hold the door open for people most say thanks some say nothing but i rarely get told it's a waste of time but still it happens i hold the door open because it's nice and respectful to others. But still those people who say close it are just plain rude because you're being nice what did you ever to do them? Still gen i feel bad for you when those jerks say close it just ignore them your still doing something nice for others just ignore the ones being rude and just listen to the ones who say thanks.

You know what's interesting?

When I was in America (I presume you are American) some time ago, almost everyone would hold the door, or say 'excuse me' when passing in front of me. I'm from Brazil, and here people are not that 'caring'. I mean, of course there are people who do this sort of thing, me and my family included, still, while these things are widely regarded as trivial stuff in the US, here it is quite the 'gentleman' behavior.

I'm one of those people who will hold the door for someone. I get thank yous from most of the people who go through the door. The fact that some people told you to close the door is stupid. :ajsleepy: You were just being nice and respectful.
